What you'll do

  • Strategic Planning: Formulate and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and expand market presence.  
  • Opportunity Identification: Discover and pursue new business opportunities and strategic partnerships within the logistics sector.  
  • Client and Stakeholder Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders to enhance business partnerships.  
  • Market Analysis: Conduct in-depth analysis of market trends and competitor activities to inform and refine business strategies.  
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of business development professionals to achieve targets and foster a high-performance culture.  
  • Internal Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to ensure the effective delivery of services and operational success.  
  • Reporting and Presentation: Prepare and present detailed proposals, comprehensive reports, and accurate forecasts to senior management.  
  • Parcel Volume Growth: Develop strategies to attract new clients and secure parcel volumes, contributing to the company's growth and revenue.  
  • Additional Tasks: Undertake other duties as assigned to support the overall success of our business and adapt to evolving company needs.  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Logistics, or a related field.  
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in business development or sales within the logistics industry (specifically small parcel last mile delivery).  
  • Proven track record of achieving business growth and revenue targets.  
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.  
  • Ability to analyze data and market trends to drive strategic decisions.  
  • Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.  
  • Proficiency in Salesforce .
  • Willingness to travel as required.
