The Epic Health Planet Consultant plays a pivotal role in ensuring the successful implementation, support, and optimization of Epic Healthy Planet workflows. This position requires hands-on expertise in product design, build, and testing, with a focus on roster loads, quality reporting, and HEDIS measure configuration. As a consultant, you will collaborate closely with end users and stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions, lead software upgrades and enhancements, and provide technical and clinical consultation. Your responsibilities include supporting daily operations, troubleshooting application issues, maintaining comprehensive system documentation, and facilitating communication across teams to drive excellence in population health management.
You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide Epic product function, design, build, and testing expertise and experience for Epic Healthy Planet workflows with particular focus on A&A Roster Load, Quality Reporting, and HEDIS measure configuration
- Collaborate with end users to design and build the Epic system in a timely and professional manner and make corrective configuration or enhancements
- Lead medium to large complexity Epic software upgrade initiatives or enhancements to workflows including the design, build, and test phases
- Participate in design and validation sessions and ensure appropriate documentation, follow-up and issue escalation occurs
- Provide technical and/or clinical consultation including application configuration. Review, analyze, and evaluate system needs to develop recommendations for customers
- Develop, support and maintain all required system design and build documents and other system documentation
- Perform daily monitoring of applications in production use
- Actively participate in all phases of the testing lifecycle and perform unit, system and integrated testing tasks and activities for Epic workflows
- Provide support of application incidents reported through the help desk, including 24/7 on call coverage as required
- Obtain and maintain in-depth knowledge of software functionality; acquire and utilize knowledge of operational workflows to be implemented
- Perform in-depth analysis of workflows, data collection, report details, and other technical issues associated with Epic software
- Work with trainers to develop and maintain application specific training curriculum and materials
- Translate business requirements into functional specifications and manages changes to specifications
- Prioritize, coordinate, and implement updates and requested changes to the system; review and test each new release; troubleshoot problems and questions from end users
- Adhere to organization standards for system configuration and change control
- Develop solid relationships with end user communities, customers and business partners
- Facilitate communication with stakeholders from initial requirements to final implementation
- Troubleshoot and/or resolve application issues and escalate more complex issues as appropriate

Required Qualifications:
- Active and current Epic certification in Healthy Planet
- Current NVT (New Version Training) and Epic CEE (Continued Epic Education) must be completed to maintain certifications, proficiencies, and badges
- 3+ years Epic application experience
- Recent (past 3 years) Healthy Planet support and configuration experience
- Demonstrated Epic systems application knowledge to build, test, support and training for Healthy Planet workflow
- Proficiency with Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and SharePoint
- Ability to travel up to 25% to support dynamic client support needs
Preferred Qualifications:
- Consulting experience
- Ability to demonstrate and have a history of project management (informal or formal), cross-team communication and leadership skills
- Any combination of certifications and/or experience with additional Epic applications, particularly EpicCare Ambulatory, Cogito, or PB/Claims
- Experience mentoring or assisting new analysts
- Experience with complex Healthy Planet workflows and assisting the client with best practice creation
Soft Skills:
- Excellent time management, organizational, and prioritization skills and ability to balance multiple priorities
- In-depth knowledge of Epic EMR and the full implementation lifecycle of Epic's electronic medical record applications from conception through development into production
