Job Overview
T-Mobile is seeking a collaborative and detail oriented ESG reporting professional to join their ESG Strategy & Sustainability team. In this role, you will play a key role in establishing T-Mobile as a leader in responsible business practices. You will be responsible for owning the design, management, and continuous improvement of T-Mobile’s environmental, social and governance (ESG) data infrastructure — ensuring accuracy, integrity, and alignment with evolving global standards. This includes leading the data collection and disclosure readiness process for internal and external ESG reporting led by the team, which encompasses the annual Corporate Responsibility Report and alignment to ESG frameworks and standards, such as GRI, SASB, and CSRD. The role will also develop and continuously evolve a scalable ESG data management framework and collection approach that supports T-Mobile’s priority ESG topics, regulatory compliance, business priorities and enterprise decision-making.
** This is a hybrid role (3 days/week) in the office. Our preferred locations are Overland Park, KS or Frisco, TX; we may also consider Bellevue, WA **

Job Responsibilities:
  • Own and manage T-Mobile’s ESG data collection, validation, and reporting processes, serving as the central “source of truth” for ESG metrics and disclosures. This includes working across the business to collect and inventory ESG-related data within critical timelines.
  • Design, implement, and enhance the company’s ESG data management system, including software implementation, roadmap planning for system development requirements, user training and support for teams across the business, internal controls, validation checks, documentation, and audit trails.
  • Lead ESG data execution for annual reporting projects, quarterly progress updates, internal dashboards, and ad hoc requests from key partners.
  • Maintain SOPs and required documentation to support internal reporting controls and external assurance readiness of ESG metrics and KPIs.
  • Seek opportunities to automate processes, strengthen controls, and improve data reliability.
  • Provide data, analytics, and insights to support ESG and Sustainability strategic decisions and performance management.
  • Support company’s ESG ratings and ranker submissions (e.g. MSCI, Sustainalytics, ISS, etc.) through timely data validation and performance analysis.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to internal partners by supporting them during data development and metrics creation.
  • Maintain awareness of industry-wide standards and developments in ESG and appropriately provide consultation on internal changes as necessary.
  • Assist with various projects as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree plus 2 years of related work experience or combination of education and experience deemed equivalent
  • 2-4 years experience in ESG data analysis
  • Knowledge of ESG reporting frameworks, regulations, and methodologies including CSRD, EU Taxonomy, ISSB, TCFD, GRI, SASB, and other relevant frameworks.
  • Experience running end-to-end ESG data collection and reporting processes, including management of an ESG reporting software solution to compile data from different sources.
  • Experience analyzing different types of ESG data and applying tools to build executive-ready data dashboards.
  • Strong data governance approach, with experience implementing validation controls and documentation standards.
  • Analytical problem solver able to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data into clear insights that can be communicated to various levels and functions.
  • Familiarity with ESG assessments and ratings such as MSCI, ISS, Sustainalytics, etc.
  • Able to build strong relationships with internal partners and develop deep content knowledge quickly.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple projects and meet quick deadlines.
  • Expert problem solver with the ability to identify and triage data issues to drive tactical solutions.
  • Experience with assurance/audit work and internal control design and the ability to apply this expertise across ESG reporting practices.

  • At least 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
