Motive is looking for an Event Manager to support the planning and execution of high impact trade shows, industry conferences, and large scale event activations that drive pipeline, strengthen brand presence, and create meaningful engagement with prospects and customers.
We are seeking a highly organized, execution focused, and creative event professional who thrives in a fast paced environment, manages complex logistics with precision, and delivers exceptional on site experiences. This role requires someone who can think beyond logistics to shape engaging experiences, bring fresh ideas to event strategy, and translate marketing priorities into memorable in person moments that resonate with our audience.
In this role, you will partner closely across Sales, Demand Gen, Product Marketing, Brand, Marketing Operations, and external vendors to bring Motive’s trade show strategy to life across priority markets and industry moments. Success requires strong cross functional collaboration, clear communication, and the ability to align multiple stakeholders around shared pipeline and revenue goals.
You will play a critical role in elevating Motive’s presence in market, ensuring every event not only runs seamlessly but also contributes meaningfully to awareness, engagement, and measurable business impact.
Trade Show Execution
Plan and execute Motive’s presence at national and regional trade shows, conferences, and industry events, ensuring seamless logistics, strong brand representation, and high quality attendee experiences.
On Site Event Management
Lead on site coordination, including booth setup, staffing support, vendor management, and real time problem solving to ensure flawless execution and positive engagement with prospects, customers, and partners.
Cross Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Sales, Product Marketing, Demand Gen, Marketing Ops, and leadership to align event strategy with pipeline goals, campaign messaging, and revenue priorities.
Program Communications
Develop clear briefs, timelines, and stakeholder communications to keep internal teams aligned before, during, and after each event.
Operational Excellence and Process Improvement
Build and refine repeatable trade show processes, documentation, and workflows that improve scalability, efficiency, and execution quality across Motive’s event portfolio.
Performance Tracking and Reporting
Measure and report on key event metrics including scans, meetings, influenced pipeline, and return on investment, using insights to continuously optimize event performance.
Budget and Vendor Management
Manage event budgets, vendor negotiations, booth logistics, shipments, swag, signage, and production to ensure delivery on time and within scope.
- 3 or more years of B2B event, trade show, or experiential marketing experience, ideally in SaaS or a high growth technology environment
- Demonstrated success executing trade shows or large scale industry events that support pipeline generation and sales engagement
- Experience with tools such as Salesforce, Marketo, Tableau, Asana, or similar marketing and project management platforms
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple complex events simultaneously
- Proactive problem solver with strong attention to detail and a bias toward execution and results
- Clear and confident communicator comfortable working with senior stakeholders and cross functional teams
- Willingness to travel approximately 25 to 40 percent to support national trade shows and industry events
Pay Transparency
Your compensation may be based on several factors, including education, work experience, and certifications. For certain roles, total compensation may include restricted stock units.
