The Eaton Vance Distribution Team provides a unique opportunity to represent MSIM in tax, direct indexing, alternatives, education, and leadership in concentrated wealth. The team is seeking a high-performing and highly motivated External Wholesaler to drive growth in gross and net sales for our broad suite of investment products, including Mutual Funds, ETFs, SMAs, and Alternative Investments within the Wirehouse channel across the Pacific Northwest. The ideal candidate is a strategic, relationship-driven sales professional with a proven track record of increasing AUM for the firm, maintaining high-level relationships with Financial Advisors, and delivering top-tier consultative sales presentations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain sales programs with assigned intermediaries. 

  • Execute a strategic business plan to drive gross and net sales, targeting Top-Tier Financial Advisors within Wirehouse branch offices in the Pacific Northwest – Washington, Oregon, and Alaska. 

  • Identify client needs and coordinate efforts to service assigned intermediaries. 

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with Financial Advisors, Branch Managers, and Complex Directors to increase firm footprint and market share. 

  • Act as a subject matter expert on the company’s investment products, portfolio construction, and asset allocation, providing tailored solutions to meet advisor needs. 

  • Conduct sales promotion and product training meetings for assigned intermediaries and existing or prospective mutual fund shareholders and/or clients. 

  • Work in conjunction with an Internal Consultant to fulfill the business plan for the territory. 

  • Coordinate with all firm COI’s, PM/IPMS, the Wealth Strategy Group, MSIM Alternatives and the Advisor Institute. 

  • Complete administrative tasks, i.e. submitting call and expense reports in a timely manner. 

 

Requirements

  • 7+ years of relevant external sales experience within the asset management industry.  

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.  

  • FINRA Series 7, 63 or 66 licenses required 

  • Strong knowledge of asset allocation, portfolio construction, capital markets, and alternative investments.  

  • Proven sales success and established relationships with Wirehouse advisors.  

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.  

  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills.  

  • Advanced computer proficiency, including Morningstar Direct and Salesforce.  

  • Willingness and ability to travel.
