KING 5 is seeking a dynamic and visionary Executive Producer to lead our award-winning "Evening" program into its next era of success. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of one of Seattle's most beloved local entertainment shows.
The Executive Producer will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of "Evening," including content development, production, and strategic direction. The ideal candidate will bring fresh ideas to evolve the show while maintaining its core focus on local stories, events, and human-interest features.

Responsibilities:    

  • Provide strong leadership and mentorship to the "Evening" team, including on-air talent, MMJs, photographers and production staff.
  • Develop and implement innovative strategies to enhance the show's content and audience engagement.
  • Collaborate with the entire Evening Team to create compelling segments that resonate with viewers.
  • Oversee schedules and resource allocation to maximize production value.
  • Analyze linear and streaming data to continually refine and improve the program.
  • Organize and execute sponsored segments.

Requirements: 

  • Proven track record in television production, preferably in a leadership role for a magazine-style or news program.
  • Strong understanding of the Seattle market and its diverse communities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional leadership skills and experience.
  • Ability to make critical decisions under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Creative vision for evolving "Evening" content and workflows while respecting its 35+ year legacy.

Pay Range
$33.65$36.06 USD
Benefits: 

TEGNA offers comprehensive benefits designed to safeguard the physical, mental and financial health of our employees and their families. TEGNA offers two medical plan options for full and part-time employees through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas, as well as access to dental and eye care coverage; fertility, surrogacy and adoption assistance; disability and life insurance.

Our 401(k) program offers full, part-time and temporary employees the opportunity to contribute 1% - 80% of their pay on a pre-tax basis to TEGNA’s 401(k). Contributions made up to the first 4% of pay are eligible for a 100% match from the company and are 100% vested from day one.

Regardless of participation in TEGNA medical plans, ALL employees and their eligible family members receive nine free virtual doctor’s appointments with a physician through Teladoc, and 12 free annual therapy sessions with a licensed clinician through Spring Health.

TEGNA offers a generous Paid Time Off (PTO) benefit as well as nine paid holidays per year.
