The Finance & Accounting Manager drives financial excellence, manages payments, collaborates with accounting firms, and oversees budgeting and compliance.
We’re seeking a dynamic Finance & Accounting Manager to drive financial excellence, streamline accounting processes, and ensure robust compliance at Zerion. You’ll collaborate with external accounting teams, manage payments (fiat & crypto), maintain strategic financial models, and drive budgeting and forecasting. Your role is pivotal to enhancing internal controls and empowering informed strategic decisions!
What you’ll be doing:
- Collaborate with and oversee external accounting firms managing US fiat and crypto accounting
- Manage the full cycle of incoming and outgoing payments (both fiat & crypto), ensuring prompt processing and reconciliation
- Maintain and refine a financial model and forecasts to support strategic decision-making
- Configure QuickBooks and develop key financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Establish and oversee internal audit procedures to enhance financial controls and risk management
- Configure, optimize, and manage the Stripe ecosystem to automate invoice issuance and efficiently address customer payment inquiries
- Oversee the budgeting process, ensuring efficient cost management and alignment with the company’s strategic objectives
- Prepare financial due diligence materials and support fundraising initiatives as needed
- Ensure adherence to local and international regulatory requirements, especially considering the evolving regulatory landscape for web3 and crypto-related activities
- Follow up with business units to ensure cost budgets are adhered to
What you’ll need:
- At least a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in finance including various tasks: accounting, managing accounts payable and receivable, financial modeling, working with financial software, invoicing, and budgeting
- Good understanding of U.S GAAP/IFRS
- Proficiency in QuickBooks
- Experience managing incoming/outgoing payments, invoicing, and addressing customer payment queries
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy and insightful financial reporting
- Proactive in identifying issues and implementing effective solutions to streamline financial processes
Bonus Points:
- Experience in crypto accounting
- Experience in treasury management to maintain liquidity and financial stability
- Proficiency in crypto subledgers (Breezing, Cryptio, Integral etc)
- A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CMA)
- Hands-on experience with configuring, optimizing, and managing the Stripe ecosystem
