Job Description

The FP&A Corporate support team is looking for a customer obsessed, results oriented Finance Manager to join our team. The manager will be focused on the strategic vision of data and reporting needs leveraging data architecture with systems to build and maintain consistent views across our Nordstrom businesses. This role requires an individual with strong data management, communication, and project management skills to support business transparency and deliverables. The candidate will work closely with stakeholders to translate desired measurement of the business into consistent transparency that drives outcomes. The successful candidate will be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. 

**This role is Hybrid- Seattle, Washington, and will require you to be in office 3 days per week.

Responsibilities  

  • Lead the close, forecast, and planning cycles for HR & Corp Center areas providing consolidated reporting that clearly highlights key storylines for a senior leadership audience  
  • Act as liaison between HR and Corporate FP&A, ensuring alignment around planning and forecast calendars, business-specific storylines, and enterprise-wide financials  
  • Support weekly and monthly business reviews that provide insight around current business and customer performance and create alignment around forward-looking forecasts and plans that can be actioned against   
  • Support labor planning process for HR business working directly with HR and senior leadership to establish plans and performance tracking  
  • Support the HR & Corp Center allocation process including development of allocation planning models and methodology  
  • Embrace and champion change with focus on implementing, editing, and improving processes across finance and the business   
  • Collaborate and build credibility across the organization, where key partnerships include business leaders, cross functional finance and accounting teams, and HR business partners   
  • Create materials that clearly and effectively communicate insights and recommendations through storytelling tools such as MS Excel, Power Point, and Tableau  

Qualifications 

  • 5+ plus years of related experience, large corporate FP&A preferred  
  • BA/BS Degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA or comparable experience preferred   
  • Proven experience in effectively managing the monthly budget/forecasting process  
  • Strong communication, relationship management and influencing skills   
  • Situational awareness to understand needs of various stakeholders across finance and other cross-functional teams.  
  • Proven experience in analyzing, modeling and reporting financial performance   
  • Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and timelines   
  • Excellent computer skills including Excel, SQL, Tableau, Anaplan, PowerPoint and database systems  
  • Ability to independently develop processes and deliverables from general direction   
  • Attention to detail, data integrity and accuracy   
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure   
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to facilitate discussions with leaders  
  • Superior MS Excel abilities, including the ability to use formulas, functions & pivot tables

Pay Range Details

The pay range(s) below are provided in compliance with state specific laws. Pay ranges may be different in other locations.

Washington: $80,000 - $155,000 AnnuallyThis position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses. Benefits include 401k, medical/vision/dental/life/disability insurance options, PTO accruals, Holidays, and more.
