The Supply Chain Finance Senior Manager will lead transformation initiatives in Finance and Supply Chain, aligning operations with the business strategy, and improving operational performance through strategic financial management.
The Supply Chain Finance Senior Manager is a key member of the CFGI Business Transformation Team. Working as an extension of our client, the Supply Chain Finance Senior Manager will drive high-impact transformation initiatives across Finance, Supply Chain, and Technology departments. You will serve in a functional role and as a liaison with client senior leadership, helping them to identify improvement needs and fully execute the changes to address them.
This person will lead and/or support project teams engaged in the successful delivery of a wide range of Business Transformation initiatives, aligning finance and operations with business strategy in support of the broader organization's future vision. The role requires a blend of financial expertise, supply chain knowledge, and a passion for improving operational performance.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Develop supply chain and finance strategies by assessing a client’s business challenges/needs/gaps, diagnosing the root problems, and recommending an approach leveraging CFGI assets.
· Oversee / transform cost accounting and inventory processes, including complex standard cost development and month-end closing activities.
· Ability to evaluate and implement a robust Sales & Operational Planning (S&OP) process that can integrate with the financial plan for enhanced decision-making.
· Lead analysis of material, labor, and overhead variances as well as inventory reconciliations and the development of key inventory controls.
· Provide best-in-class business partnering support, and deliver quality reports and analysis used to make informed business decisions.
· Maintain an understanding of trends affecting supply chains including systems, digital transformations, analytics, the COO ecosystem, and broader marketplace.
· Identify and support CFGI business development initiatives, including serving as a subject matter expert in cost accounting and supply chain management in certain aspects of the proposal and scope development processes.
Preferred Skills:
· Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience with workflow automation and business intelligence software is a plus.
· Knowledge of ERP technologies (e.g. SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Microsoft D365/Business Central/Dynamics, etc.).
· Experience in or partnering with manufacturing organizations is required.
· Project Management experience is a plus.
Qualifications and Capabilities:
· Finance-focused with at least eight plus years of experience in supply chain finance, cost accounting, and/or supply chain management. Client service experience in top professional services firms (i.e., Big 4 or large regional) is highly preferred, but not required.
· CPA or CMA certification is preferred. Supply chain certifications are a plus.
· Advanced understanding of and proficiency in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
· Experience partnering with operations teams is required.
· Strong proficiency in cost analysis, supply chain forecasting, optimization, budgeting, and financial modeling.
· Significant engagement management experience, as well as business, practice, and people development.
· Ability to concurrently manage internal firm and external client requirements.
· Experience with finance technologies such as Adaptive Workday, Planful, OneStream, Anaplan, Cognos, Oracle Hyperion, Tableau, Alteryx, Power BI, Fusion, etc. is a plus.
· Experience leading projects/teams and the ability to lead key requirement workshops with clients.
· Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate with clients, document requirements, and articulate the value proposition and business case for various finance transformation solutions.
