Finance Analyst
Wilmington, DE
Monday-Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

A Financial Analyst at CSC is a partner to the business. They serve an important role of reporting, analyzing and planning the revenue, operational and capital expenses for their business unit. Financial Analysts at CSC are to perform business analytics and partake in strategic planning. The goal of a Financial Analyst at CSC is to become a trusted business partner to their supported area, providing business enhancing analysis, guidance and recommendations.
Some of the things you will be doing:
  • This role will act as the direct financial advisor to one of CSCs largest business units. You will work closely with senior management and will be ultimately responsible for the creation of detailed business plans, identifying value creation opportunities and enhancing overall business performance.
  • Gather and analyze sales and operations data and make recommendations for action based on conclusions of the analysis. You will also make recommendations to constituents with regard to system and process improvements.
  • Lead the business unit's quarterly forecast and annual budget process, including revenue, employee expenses and non-employee expenses as well as capital investment planning.
  • Work closely with business partners at all levels to analyze financial and business performance, provide recommendations, partake in strategic initiatives and prepare and deliver findings to senior management.
  • Perform various financial calculations, create specified ad hoc reports, graphs, and charts of financial data. Responsible for day-to-day financial operational activities of supported business area.

What technical skills, experience, and qualifications do you need?
  • 3 to 5 years' experience preparing / analyzing budgets & forecasts.
  • Business experience in financial analysis / financial planning working for a medium or large company.
  • Capital investment planning, analysis and management.
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Demonstrated curiosity and eagerness to learn, with a proactive approach to staying updated on industry trends, financial modeling techniques, and emerging tools.
  • Strong experience in database query functionality in Microsoft Access, Business Objects, or other reporting tools
  • Experience working in Oracle, Hyperion, Essbase or similar financial systems.
  • Thorough understanding of financial metrics and accounting principles as well as knowledge of US GAAP Accounting standards.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel (VBA preferred) and data visualization tools.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Superior communication skills and ability to effectively communicate to all levels of the company, with a strong focus on senior management.
  • Self-motivated with ability to operate independently within a team structure.
  • Strong organizational and process improvement skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, shift priorities and meet deadlines.
