The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Firefighter - Prevention Specialist to join the team in Seattle, WA; Auburn, WA; Everett, WA or Renton, WA.
The Boeing Fire Department is one of the country's largest Industrial fire departments. Boeing firefighters provide a safe working environment to employees and customers, supports aircraft production, support flightline activities, provide risk deduction inspections, and respond to emergencies and disasters at our numerous Boeing sites.
In this role, you will participate in our fire prevention program. This is Monday - Friday, 8-hour position. You will be working on first shift. There will be opportunities to advance your career as a Firefighter or Fire Inspector based on obtaining the required certifications.
You will be required to pass a Firefighter physical/stress test. You may be required to travel off-site or out of state for company business as required by management.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Duty will be assigned depending on your certifications and training
  • Respond to and support emergencies involving company personnel, buildings, equipment and environment, as requested
  • Provide emergency medical care, as needed
  • Inspect fire protection systems and equipment
  • Participate in hot work control activities
  • Participate in fire protection system service requests and impairment activities
  • Participate in training activities and instructional sessions
  • Maintain required skills to ensure job proficiency
  • Additional duties assigned by site Chief and Fire Prevention Captain

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Current valid driver's license and the ability to obtain a Washington State driver's license within 30 days of employment
  • Current National Registry, Washington State, or other United States state Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) certification
  • Ability to apply for reciprocity within 30 days of your start date and obtain reciprocity within 6 months of your start date
  • Ability to pass and maintain a Firefighter physical/stress test

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience as a full-time, part-time or volunteer Firefighter
  • Experience with building and fire codes, modern fire prevention principles, procedures and equipment

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $25.00 - $42.77

Security Clearance
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
