Why you should join us

Solstice is redefining how life sciences organizations commercialize their products. We are building a commercial engine that allows pharmaceutical marketers to take control of their content supply chain. Some reasons for why you should join us are:

  • Rapid growth: Over the past year, we have been working with some of the top life sciences manufacturers as well as marketing agencies and are working with over 50+ pharma brands.

  • Frontiers of technology: We’re building applications and rapidly iterating technical approaches at the frontiers of AI, experimenting with LLMs and new frameworks. We have V2 of the platform currently deployed to customers but are incorporating new, advanced frameworks to our solution aggressively.

  • Top-tier investors: We’ve raised $3.5mm+ from investors like Twelve Below, Virtue and the founders of Datavant, Commure, and Paradigm to supercharge our growth and build an elite team of engineers and operators.

Building anything great requires commitment and dedication. We’re looking for someone who has the fire to prove others wrong 🚀

About the role

We are in search of an ML operations engineer who has the drive required to be a part of a founding team looking to tackle a difficult but meaningful problem. You’ll be responsible for the end-to-end lifecycle of our AI systems—from experimentation to production deployment and ongoing optimization.Beyond development, you will be collaborating closely with co-founders Yiwen and Aris on all facets of the startup as we grow Solstice in the coming years. Reach out to [email protected] to learn more.

What you’ll be working on:
  • Leverage prompt-engineering, retrieval-augmented generation, model experimentation, and benchmarking to optimize performance of Solstice’s platform on real biopharma marketing data.

  • Wrangle proprietary commercial & marketing brand data into complex LLM pipelines to produce high-quality, compliant life sciences marketing content.

  • Implement ML Ops best practices, including CI/CD pipelines for ML, model versioning, automated testing, and monitoring.

  • Developing LLM eval infrastructure to store, analyze and iterate on LLM outputs and the feedback we receive from clients

  • Scope, architect, and build SOTA agents and pipelines while supporting customers directly.

  • Flex across the full stack (frontend, backend, infra) to build whatever is necessary to support our customers.

Some ideal traits we’re looking for
  • Engineering chops. Relevant experience building systems & deploying enterprise-grade products

  • Independent thinking. While we believe specific skills can be taught, we need someone who has the ability to make decisions and drive results on their own.

  • Strong proficiency in full-stack web development technologies such as Python, FastAPI, Docker, AWS

  • Experience working with LLMs such as GPT, Claude and Gemini to create LLM-based workflows, RAG Pipelines and agentic solutions. (Either formally or through projects/experimentation)

  • Superb communication and collaboration skills. We believe in direct communication and willingness to provide as well as accept criticism.

  • Unreal work ethic. Diamonds were not made overnight.

Benefits
  • Medical insurance

  • Relocation support

  • Opportunity to work at a high-velocity and high-energy startup

  • Visa sponsorship (O-1) for internationals

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
