Halo is building the future of wearable intelligence—technology that feels like a superpower. We’ve already gone viral (80M+ views), been featured on NBC and Forbes, and yes, there are flamethrowers in the office.
We’re a fast-moving team of engineers, inventors, and builders, and we’re looking for a Founding Engineer to manifest dreams and lead product.
You’ll work side-by-side with the founders to take Halo from working prototype to iconic product. This isn’t just a “build the backend” role—it’s a chance to architect the future of human <> AI interfaces.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
- Own core systems across embedded, cloud, and mobile—from architecture to implementation.
- Prototype fast and ship things that shouldn’t be possible (but are).
- Bridge hardware + software into magical, seamless user experiences.
- Collaborate with world-class engineers, designers, and marketers to make intelligence feel human, wearable, and unforgettable.
- Set the tone for engineering culture, process, and quality as we scale.
YOU MIGHT BE A FIT IF YOU:
- Have been programming for 5+ years
- Have a track record that proves you've built consumer-facing software or architected something mission-critical, with thousands of users.
- Have shipped zero-to-one products, and got significant traction.
- Love solving unsolved problems—from optimizing battery life to building a local LLM pipeline.
- Care deeply about the user, not just the system.
BONUS POINTS:
- Experience in consumer hardware, wearables, AI, or frontier tech.
- Worked with Swift, AWS, built non-trivial AI Agents, and/or embedded programming.
- Enjoy hacking with sensors, cameras, or custom boards in your free time.
Halo is not a typical startup. We value action over perfection, originality over safety, and people who create momentum out of thin air. If that sounds like you—we’d love to meet.
