We’re on a mission to help our customers and their communities unlock economic mobility for generations to come. Join the team that’s making our goal a reality.

At Possible, we’re building a new type of consumer finance company. One that helps our customers stay out of debt rather than profit from them staying in it. As a Public Benefit Corporation, it is our mission and responsibility to help communities unlock economic mobility through affordable credit products crafted to improve financial health.

Founded in 2017, our lead VCs are Canvas and Union Square Ventures. We have over 100,000 reviews on the App Store with a 4.8-star average rating.

Since our founding, we have redefined how people approach small-dollar loans—delivering over $1 billion in funding to more than 1 million customers, issuing over 4 million loans, and saving our customers more than $500 million.

We are seeking a highly-analytical and business-savvy Strategic Finance Manager to join our passionate and mission driven team at Possible Financial Inc. in Seattle, WA. Key responsibilities include developing and owning financial models and strategic long-range analysis to drive actionable insights, analyzing key business metrics to help influence Company focus and growth initiatives, review budget to actual variances to articulate areas of improvement, and driving investor relations work through external reporting packages, BOD decks, and Fundraising materials.

This highly visible role requires a high aptitude for analytical problem-solving, project management, strategic communication, and collaboration as you work cross-functionally to develop and shape our business and financial strategy.

The Role & Responsibilities
  • Provide data-driven and thought-provoking guidance, facilitate decision-making, and influence long range strategy (both at an overall company and functional level) with dynamic financial models and scenario analysis
  • Support debt and equity transaction processes through strategic insights and meaningful financial data storytelling
  • Continuously refine our three statement forecasting process to analyze financial and operational results with the ultimate goal of shaping company trajectory
  • Coordinate annual planning processes, quarterly board financial reporting, and monthly forecasts and communicate business performance and strategic insights to key partners, including the C-Suite, departmental leaders, investors, and the Board of Directors
  • Be a trusted thought partner with colleagues from all departments to help articulate how functional objectives drive consolidated financial results
Experience Required:
  • 5+ years of analytical corporate Finance/FP&A, private equity, or investment banking experience (experience in FinTech strongly preferred)
  • Intellectually curious, always trying to learn and grow by questioning the norm; the desire to go above and beyond what is required to help contribute to the team and Company’s success.
  • Strong understanding of 3 financial statements required
  • Excel expert and willingness to apply AI tools to pull and present data (experience with DataBricks a big plus)
  • Self-starter with the ability to develop and own insightful financial models and quantitative analysis, paired with strong critical thinking and sound business judgment
  • High level understanding of investment principles, complex cash management strategies, and capital markets (specifically debt instruments)
  • Superior interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with a variety of both internal and external teams
  • Collaborative and team-oriented

Location and Benefits:

We offer a competitive annual base salary range of $140,900 to $148,350, with significant equity. Our comprehensive benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and a hybrid work environment.

Possible Finance is dedicated to financial fairness and community empowerment. We welcome diverse perspectives and experiences to help us achieve our mission of unlocking economic mobility for generations to come.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
