Our mission

The American higher education system is a beacon of innovation, opportunity, and transformation, shaping future leaders and advancing knowledge on a global scale. Yet, it faces unprecedented challenges—from rising costs to increasing demands for accessibility and relevance.

At CollegeVine, we’re on a mission to not only address these challenges, but also unlock new possibilities for operational efficiency, student success, and alumni advancement.

Our vision

As our mission statement suggests, we fundamentally believe in American higher education. Contrary to the many voices out there calling for a wholesale replacement of some kind, we take a less reactionary approach that we believe can preserve the best parts of this iconic institution.

When we looked into why the higher education sector feels unsustainable—indeed, it is projected to incur an annual deficit of $100B within five years—the root cause lay squarely in the ballooning administrative bloat. An explosion of administrative positions and software systems in the last few decades have driven up costs without significantly improving educational outcomes.

We believe a new wave of artificial intelligence offers a path forward. AI Agents have the potential to dramatically increase efficiency, reduce administrative overhead, and transform the student experience, making higher education sustainable for the next century.

CollegeVine is the AI platform for higher education. We deploy safe AI Agents to drive real outcomes across campus.

Our team

(We highly recommend taking a look at our Careers page at careers.collegevine.com if you haven’t already)

Over the years, we’ve noticed that there are three meaningful predictors of whether a candidate is likely to make it through the interview process and receive an offer. Surprisingly, things like “experience in past roles” or “specific knowledge of xyz technology” aren’t on the list. Instead, we hope you are someone who…

  • Learns voraciously: if your rate of learning has greatly accelerated since leaving the educational system, that’s a great sign. To this point, we think you’ll be surprised at how eclectic and broad the collective talent set is at CollegeVine (and it’s growing everyday).

  • Lives consciously: you’re reflective, intentional, and present in how you navigate your personal and professional life. Whether in how you collaborate with others, approach challenges, or make decisions, you’re deliberate in your actions and highly self-aware.

  • Takes their career seriously: you view yourself as a professional knowledge worker who wants to join a championship team and do the best work of your career. At CollegeVine, we offer significant, potentially life-changing equity and many here expect to be founders in their next chapter.

Your role

We generally prefer to source for our jobs via LinkedIn or referrals, so that’s why you don’t see any job listings on our job board.

This job listing serves as the “Make yourself known” entry point into our interview process for those who have found us organically. When you fill out this application, the following happens:

  • Every application will be personally reviewed by someone on the leadership team

  • We’ll respond with a list of roles you might be a good fit for, if any

  • Even if there aren’t any roles today, by submitting your resume, we’ll be able to keep it on file for any future roles that open up

(All our jobs are remote positions, with a preference for candidates within the continental United States.)

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
