GCP Engineer/Architect

We are seeking an experienced GCP Engineer/Architect to design, implement, and optimize cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, scalable, and cost-effective cloud architectures that meet business and technical requirements.  

Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement GCP-based infrastructure for enterprise applications and workloads.
  • Develop cloud architecture blueprints, ensuring alignment with best practices and compliance standards.
  • Configure and manage compute, storage, networking, and security services in GCP.
  • Implement Identity and Access Management (IAM), encryption, and security controls.
  • Automate infrastructure deployment using Terraform, Deployment Manager, or similar IaC tools.
  • Optimize cloud environments for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with development and DevOps teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines for GCP workloads.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cloud environments using Stackdriver, Cloud Logging, and Monitoring.
  • Stay current with GCP innovations and recommend improvements to architecture and processes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering or architecture roles.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform services (Compute Engine, VPC, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, Cloud Functions, etc.).
  • Strong knowledge of networking, security, and IAM in GCP.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Deployment Manager).
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (Cloud Build, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration (GKE, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
  • GCP Professional Cloud Architect or Professional Cloud Engineer certification preferred.
Nice-to-Have:
  • Experience with data services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub).
  • Knowledge of multi-cloud or hybrid cloud architectures.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices.
