Job Description

As a Global Account Manager, you will represent Rockwell Automation's comprehensive product and solution portfolio to a Global Account customer who has made a substantial business commitment. You will oversee global partnership development with the Global Account's corporate influence points and communicate our value propositions at an executive customer level. You are responsible for extended team leadership ensuring worldwide sales/support to increase the scope of our product and service reach. You facilitate communications between the Global Account and our product groups. You will report to the Director, Global Industry and work in a remote environment in either Michigan or Ontario.

Your Responsibilities:

You will develop a trust-based relationship with principal customer sponsors of the Global Account and formalize Global Account relationship expectations. You will identify new products and services growth opportunities with the Global Account. You will promote business growth through of extended teams, leading to a balanced selling effort at multiple customer levels of the Global Account. You will participate in the Global Account's manufacturing and implementing teams to provide information at an early stage. You will work with the Global Account to expand Rockwell Automation's presence globally, and to deliver across geographic boundaries You will model the capabilities of an Executive Sales Professional' to sales colleagues and act as a mentor to colleagues.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of relevant experience
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada and the US. The Company does not provide immigration sponsorship or work permit support for this position.
  • A valid driver's license.
  • The ability to travel 30% of the time to customers, with some international travel required.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline
  • 8+ years of experience in technical sales, industrial distribution, systems integration or an engineering firm, or graduate of the Rockwell Automation Sales Training Program
  • Applied experience in one or more areas related to selling control/information solutions into our target industries, or supporting same, and production/process engineering experience, manufacturing operations experience or similar work, either from within the Rockwell Automation organization or in similar industry
  • Experience selling at the senior management and executive levels, and convey Rockwell Automation's products and services in a manner which demonstrate tangible economic value
  • 8+ years of global sales experience.
  • Industry Experience: Working knowledge of Industry 4.0 and Internet of Things technologies. IOT / IIOT / Software / Annual Recurring Revenue-Subscription model type of experience. Working with all levels of a manufacturing enterprise – CxO, operations leadership, technical leadership, plant leadership and OEM machine builders.

This position is part of a job family. Experience will be the determining factor for position level and compensation.

For this role, in the United States, the total target compensation is from $208,000-$312,000 of which 60% is base salary and 40% is variable. Our benefits for the US can be found here. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.

For this role, in Canada, the total target compensation is from $221,600 CAD - $332,400 CAD of which 60% is base salary and 40% is variable. Actual pay will be based on factors such as skills, knowledge, education, and experience.
