Bring your energy to Aggreko as Global Category Manager- Independent Power Producer Projects based in Houston. You’ll represent the strategic procurement function in the development of strategies and sourcing of key technologies to support Aggreko’s IPP projects in North America.

What you’ll do as Global Cat Manager - IPP:

  • Providing independent commercial oversight to projects and be able to challenge stakeholders to ensure the most effective outcome for Aggreko.
  • Understand the requirements of the customer base in the IPP business opportunities and wider market that Aggreko is operating in.
  • Lead the development of the supply chain strategy on behalf of the Aggreko IPP team in order to define the supplier selection process.
  • Support the IPP team to formulate the business case that underpins each and every opportunity.
  • Form strong relationships with internal stakeholders (procurement, engineering, IPP team, etc), as well as building solid relationships with suppliers via the existing strategic and operational procurement teams.
  • Developing the commercial requirements of the customer proposal in accordance with the needs of the specific project.
  • Ensuring the commercial aspects are in place to successfully execute the project.
  • Detailed understanding of the business requirements and the supply base - Appropriate supply contracts in place with respective supplier
  • Stakeholder engagement & management.

You are:

  • 5+ Years of experience in procurement, supply chain and vendor management
  • Experience in power generation, emission reduction catalysts, transformers, batteries and any other relevant capital equipment.
  • Demonstrate leadership skills and represent the strategic Procurement function alongside the IPP team.
  • Commercially astute and has the ability to challenge both internally and externally
  • Technically minded: able to understand and learn about a wide range of products and applications
  • Strong negotiation and contract development experience
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills - communicates clearly and effectively with all levels of stakeholders (internal and external)
