What you will do

The Solution Architect Manager is accountable for defining, governing, and evolving the Global Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solution architecture while actively contributing to the development and implementation of the solution.

The role serves as the bridge between business requirements, solution design, and technical implementation, ensuring alignment with Kenvue's global manufacturing digitization strategy.

Additionally, this position is expected to remain hands-on and actively participate in configuration, development, troubleshooting, and technical leadership activities.

This position will be based out of our location in São José dos Campos, Brazil or in India.

Key Responsibilities

Solution Architecture

Own and evolve Kenvue Global MES architecture based on the AVEVA MES solution stack
Define architecture standards, design principles, and reusable patterns
Ensure consistency across sites, applications, integrations, and deployments
Evaluate new requirements and assess impact on the overall solution landscape
Drive architectural decisions and technical governance
Hands-On Development & Technical Leadership

Actively participate in MES configuration and development activities
Develop proof-of-concepts and complex solution components
Support resolution of critical technical issues and production incidents
Perform design and code reviews
Define development standards and best practices
Coach and mentor internal and external developers
Product & Template Ownership

Contribute to the evolution of the Global MES Template
Ensure scalability, maintainability, and reusability of the solution
Support rollout and deployment activities
Lead technical discussions regarding new capabilities and enhancements
Vendor & Partner Management

Provide technical leadership to development and architecture teams consist of internal and external (System Integrator) resources
Review and challenge solution proposals from external partners
Facilitate engagement with AVEVA product teams, R&D, and support organizations when required
Ensure external resources follow Kenvue architecture and development standards
Delivery Leadership

Collaborate with Business Analysts to shape FDS, then own the creation of SDS, technical designs, and implementation approaches, ensuring requirements are translated into scalable and executable development solutions
Break down functional requirements into detailed technical work packages, development stories, and implementation tasks
Ensure consistent interpretation of requirements across development teams
Contribute to sprint planning and technical prioritization
Knowledge Development

Build and maintain MES expertise within Kenvue
Create and maintain architecture documentation
Drive knowledge transfer from suppliers to internal teams
Support development of long-term internal capabilities

What we are looking for

Required Skills & Experience

Technical

Proven strong hands-on experience with AVEVA MES and AVEVA Work Tasks
Strong knowledge and experience integrating AVEVA MES with L2 (System Platform)
Experience designing, developing, configuring, and supporting MES solutions in manufacturing environments
Strong understanding of ISA-95 and manufacturing execution processes
Advanced SQL scripting skills, including troubleshooting, performance optimization, stored procedures, and data analysis
Strong JavaScript development skills for MES forms customization and application development
Experience working with Azure DevOps / GitHub-based development lifecycle, including backlog management, sprint execution, CI/CD concepts, and release management
Experience with MES integrations, APIs, database interfaces, and enterprise systems
Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues across application, integration, and database layers
Leadership

Ability to lead technical teams without direct management authority
Strong stakeholder management skills
Ability to challenge suppliers and drive technical decisions
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
