About us

The Planning team creates and manages a value chain that delivers an end-to-end comprehensive plan to meet the business targets. They orchestrate several activities across various stages of the value chain, which includes Category, Commercial, Finance, Operations, Logistics and RDD to ensure efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery of our products to customers and owners. 

About the Role

The Global Supply Planner role ensures capacity availability to fulfil demand by translating midterm and long-term demand forecasts into granular short-term production schedules that also align with near-term requirements. The role balances available and required capacity to optimize service, working capital and logistics costs while monitoring any potential issues which may impact production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Translate the supply network strategy and product portfolio into a master production schedule, ensuring seamless orchestration and execution of the supply plan.

  • Collaborate closely with the BU, Manufacturing Engineering and Outsourced Operations team to ensure optimal coverage and the accuracy of production schedules.

  • Identify possible future capacity constraints and bottlenecks in mid-term to long-term.

  • Translate the master production plan into detailed production schedules, ensuring high accuracy in meeting customer requirements.

  • Develops and aligns changes to the production schedule when demand or supply deviates from plan.

  • Coordinate with CMs and Procurement team to ensure schedules align with capacity and material availability.

  • Identify and address material shortages or delays that could impact production timelines.

  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing Engineering and Outsourced Operations teams to identify recurring production adherence challenges and assess the need for updates to capacity assumptions.

  • Leverage advanced technology and analytics to conduct what-if analysis, creating realistic, feasible, and efficient production schedules.

  • Measure, Analyze root causes and report key supply planning metrics, and monitor adherence to key performance indicators.

  • Track and report on production performance, including adherence to schedules, lead times, and output and root cause.

  • Communicate production plans, priorities, and changes to stakeholders effectively.

About You
  • A minimum of bachelor’s degree majoring in Supply Chain Management, Engineering, or related field.

  • Several years of experience with longer-term Planning based on planning parameters within an MNC

  • Proven track record in production network optimisation

  • Strong drive to find creative solutions to new challenges.

  • Demonstrate flexibility and resilience and respond constructively to new demands and challenges.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Supply chain/operations certification a plus, such as APICS, CPIM or lean.

  • Experience with SAP IBP, SAP S/4HANA and SAP Ariba is advantageous.
