At Conduit, we believe in a world of fair economic opportunities, where global commerce can flourish thanks to frictionless exchange of money. Our first step in building towards that vision is enabling cross-border transactions that are drastically faster, cheaper, and simpler. As we scale the business, we are looking for an experienced Director of Recruiting to join us through this next phase of growth.
Our company is globally distributed, offering the opportunity to collaborate with co-workers across the world. This role requires the availability to work and attend meetings during Eastern Time zone (North America) business hours.
We’re here to build. If you’re the kind of person who sees “impossible” as a dare and thrives in the controlled chaos of startup life, keep reading.
We're looking for a Director of Recruiting to lead and scale our hiring engine from the ground up. You’ll own every part of the recruiting journey—from strategy and systems to sourcing and storytelling. This isn’t about filling seats. This is about building a world-class team to help us scale fast, stay scrappy, and revolutionize payments.
What you'll be doing:
- Act like a founder. You’ll work directly with execs and hiring managers to forecast needs, design pipelines, and close top-tier candidates who thrive in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Own the full-stack recruiting function. Build the strategy, the team, the tools, and the rituals. If it touches talent acquisition, it’s yours.
- Lead the end-to-end recruitment process. From sourcing candidates to negotiating offers and ensuring a seamless candidate experience.
- Hire for grit, not just resumes. Our bar is high. Our mission is intense. You’ll develop methods to find and attract resourceful builders who will deliver outsized impact.
- Create a magnetic candidate experience. Even the people we don’t hire should walk away thinking, “Damn, that team is doing something special.”hance our recruitment strategy and contribute to a growing, dynamic company culture.
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders and hiring managers, advising them on the best recruitment strategies and market insights.
What we’re looking for:
- Proven track record. You have 5+ years of experience as a recruiting leader in high-growth tech environments; startup DNA is a must!
- A builder at heart. You’ve scaled recruiting functions, implemented tools, and led teams, all with limited resources.
- A magnet for top talent. Your instincts are sharp, your pitch is crisp, and you know how to close.
- Data-fluent. You can measure what matters and cut through noise to make hiring smarter, not slower.
- Fiercely autonomous. You don’t wait for permission. You make things happen.
- Passionate about culture. You know that hiring isn’t just about skills, it’s about shaping who we are and how we operate.
Why join us:
- A culture of extreme ownership and radical transparency—we expect a lot, and we give a lot.
- The freedom to build without red tape—autonomy and resourcefulness is the default.
- Competitive compensation, meaningful equity, and the chance to shape the team that will define our legacy.
- A mission-driven team that’s obsessed with doing work that matters.
- Colleagues and managers who viscerally care about your development and will do everything in their power to help you grow.
This isn’t just another job.
This is a chance to leave your fingerprints on something big.
If you’ve been waiting for the right team, the right opportunity to be your best self —this is it.
Let’s build.
