Purpose:

The Sr. Director GPS Strategy is responsible for developing and executing strategic initiatives to advance the GPS organization. This role oversees an integrated Global Patient Safety transformation agenda, emphasizing innovation, simplification, and providing project and change management capabilities for key transformation efforts across the GPS organization. The Sr. Director develops and monitors a change agenda for Global Patient Safety to ensure all GPS functions and leaders are aligned with a consistent vision. Additionally, the Sr. Director oversees the strategic planning, development, and execution of large-scale transformation initiatives across the Global Patient Safety Organization, ensuring alignment with the company's overall strategic objectives. The Global Patient Safety Strategy Leader reports to the Senior Vice President Global Patient Safety, working closely with the SVP to set strategy and direction and acting as an advisor and consultant to the SVP.

Transformation Strategy and Roadmap:

Lead the development of the overall transformation strategy, aligned with organizational goals.

Develop and manage a transformation roadmap, ensuring achievement of short-term project milestones and long-term goals within specified timelines.

Monitor roadmap to ensure appropriate integration with existing initiatives and project management activities.

Change Management and Stakeholder Engagement:

Leverage change management strategies and tactics to ensure successful, sustainable change.

Manage relationship with key stakeholders to ensure buy-in and support for transformation efforts.

Understand unique business needs to identify best ways of implementing change across the organization.

Clearly identify and understand risks and support mitigation strategies to deliver exceptional outcomes.

Governance and KPI Tracking:

Establish governance frameworks and methodologies for transformation initiatives and the integration of existing initiatives and projects.

Partner with the reporting & analytics team to develop and track KPIs to measure the success and ROI of transformation initiatives.

Own the consolidated transformation and initiative project plans and ensure adherence against defined timelines and stage gates.

Leadership and Team Collaboration:

Provide people and technical leadership for the GPS Strategy and Transformation team setting direction and vision.

Coach, develop, and mentor individuals in the organization to deliver on the Global Patient Safety Transformation agenda.

Provide guidance and support to teams on certain transformation initiatives and take the lead in others. Scope, plan, and structure the work, and gain alignment with leaders on timeline and implications.

Continuous Improvement and Innovation

Continuously generating new ideas and programs to build a strong funnel of transformation program.

Drive a culture of continuous improvement in all transformation efforts.

Across LRL, work with key stakeholders to help achieve GPS and Corporate goals in a compliant manner.

Monitor external regulatory and industry direction for incorporation into Global Patient Safety Strategies.

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required.

  • 7+ Years of experience in the pharmaceutical, pharmacovigilance or other highly regulated industry

  • 5 Years of experience leading large, enterprise-wide transformations

Other Information/Additional Preferences:

  • Advanced Degree Preferred

  • Experience in organizational effectiveness, including change and process management, and balance between strategic vision and hands-on project execution.

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, organizational, and negotiation skills

  • Demonstrated leadership across GxP areas

  • Project Management

  • Six Sigma Certification or Similar Preferred.

  • Periodic Domestic and International Travel May Be Required.

Actual compensation will depend on a candidate’s education, experience, skills, and geographic location.  The anticipated wage for this position is

$151,500 - $222,200

Full-time equivalent employees also will be eligible for a company bonus (depending, in part, on company and individual performance).
