Summary Description:

 

The Greenhouse Coordinator – Interior Horticulture is responsible for supporting the care, preparation, and coordination of plant material used in interior landscaping services. This role ensures plant health, inventory accuracy, and timely fulfillment of service needs while upholding high-quality horticultural standards. The coordinator also collaborates with field technicians to maintain exceptional client service.

The primary responsibility is to perform horticultural maintenance tasks with care and efficiency, ensuring the highest level of service delivery. Additional duties may be assigned as business needs evolve.

 


Job Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions):

Greenhouse & Coordination Duties

 

  • Maintain greenhouse plant inventory, ensuring plant quality and readiness for service use
  • Coordinate plant orders, deliveries, and tracking within Aspire/ServiceTitan systems
  • Monitor plant health and implement proper watering, fertilization, and pest control practices
  • Prepare plant material for installation, replacement, and seasonal updates
  • Assist with identifying plant replacements and coordinating installation needs

Client Service & Maintenance Duties

  • Exceed client expectations through professional, courteous, and efficient service
  • Manage assigned service routes and client accounts effectively
  • Provide routine interior plant care including:
    • Pruning, grooming, and trimming plants
    • Monitoring soil moisture levels
    • Cleaning plants (dusting, washing, or spraying as needed)
  • Identify and document additional service needs (large pruning, pesticide applications, plant replacements, etc.)
  • Ensure all work areas are clean and restored upon service completion

Operational Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company vehicles, including driving in urban/downtown environments
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of work vehicles
  • Track tools and equipment on job sites and report issues promptly
  • Accurately record working hours and service activities
  • Participate in company improvement initiatives (LEAN practices)

 

Team & Communication

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, coworkers, and management
  • Communicate plant care needs and technical information clearly to clients
  • Demonstrate professionalism in appearance, conduct, and communication
  • Stay informed on industry trends and continue professional development
  • Support team collaboration and assist others when needed

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of horticultural best practices and plant health management
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction

 

Work Environment

  • Combination of greenhouse, interior client sites, and outdoor environments
  • Exposure to moderate noise levels and varying conditions
  • Occasional work at heights or in confined areas

Varied Field Environment performing outdoor work with moderate to occasional loud noise.
