Job Title : Groups, Meetings and Events Sales Executive
Work Location : Hilton Istanbul Bomonti Hotel & Conference Center
Reporting To :  Director of GM&E
Responsibilities

As Groups, Meetings and Events Sales Executive, you will maximise revenue opportunities in the areas of conferences and events by driving sales leads and increasing conversions. The Groups, Meetings and Events Sales Executive will interact frequently with Guests and customers with the intention of earning repeat and expanded business. Specifically, a Groups, Meetings and Events Sales Executive will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

  • To obtain full knowledge of Competitors products to understand the market place and maximize the profit
  • Send event proposals according to Hilton's current standards or visit the client to convert the business for maximum profit.
  • Convinces clients to choose Hilton Istanbul Bomonti by proper follow up on each booking by using negotiating techniques 
  • Preparing the contract and pro-forma invoice, follow up of the 1st payment
  • To conduct showarounds and menu tasting if needed / Attending pre-con meetings with the client.
  • To build strong working relationships with our clients and develop an understanding of their specific needs and requirements concentrating on larger accounts to develop future/repeat  business for the Hotel
  • To ensure maximisation of sales and revenue for the hotel by being aware of all sales opportunities within all areas of the hotel.
  • Gives out availability and rates for rooms and banquet events in line with targeted selling strategy
  • Entertains the client, prepares and lead site inspections and stay-over as per current procedures and standards
  • Always takes the competition, need period, business on the books and market structure into consideration for whatever decision on a booking.
  • Answers and register incoming calls as per telephone handling procedure
  • Entertaining walk in & site inspection guests; trying to maximize conversion of walk in & inspection meetings to sales leads.
  • Welcoming groups and leaders upon arrival and assisting if needed during event.and drive GCE business
Qualifications

A Groups, Meetings and Events Sales Executive serving Hilton brands is always working on behalf of our Guests and working with other Team Members. To successfully fill this role, you should maintain the attitude, behaviours, skills, and values that follow:

  • University graduate (preferably in Tourism, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related fields)
  • Experience in office management and coordination in a similar position
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Proficient in MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Team player with a solution-oriented approach
  • Detail-oriented and responsible
  • English communication skills (both written and verbal)
  • Time management and prioritization skills
  • Committed to confidentiality and professionalism
  • Knowledge of the hotel property management systems
