  • Degree in a quantitative field (Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Statistics) or equivalent professional experience in data science.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and data visualization platforms is essential. Experience with Python or R is highly valued.
  • A proven track record of linking data insights directly to P&L outcomes, margin improvements, and revenue drivers.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts into persuasive arguments for non-technical leadership.
  • A passion for sports and an understanding of the global betting landscape or experience in highly regulated sectors is preferred.

Additional Information

  • Delivering comprehensive, data-backed perspectives on sportsbook health, user trends, and competitive positioning to leadership within the Growth and Revenue department as a clear and strategic narrative.
  • Leading deep-dive analyses and scalability assessments for the world’s largest sporting events to ensure the business is prepared for peak periods.
  • Providing real-time tracking and post-event evaluations to optimize future performance and strategy.
  • Developing and enhancing sophisticated forecasting models to predict performance surrounding major league restarts and international tournaments to guide executive expectations and resource allocation.
  • Partnering closely with Product, Pricing, and Media teams to ensure analytical findings are converted into operational reality to meet broader commercial objectives.
  • Creating and delivering clear reports, experiment plans, and presentations that translate complex analyses into actionable insights for cross-functional teams.

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
