Get to know Okta
Okta is The World’s Identity Company. We free everyone to safely use any technology—anywhere, on any device or app. Our Workforce and Customer Identity Clouds enable secure yet flexible access, authentication, and automation that transforms how people move through the digital world, putting Identity at the heart of business security and growth.
At Okta, we celebrate a variety of perspectives and experiences. We are not looking for someone who checks every single box - we’re looking for lifelong learners and people who can make us better with their unique experiences.
Join our team! We’re building a world where Identity belongs to you.

About This Role

We're not building just another campaign team. We're building the future of how Okta and Auth0 go to market — using signals, buyer intent, and growth experimentation to create real pipeline.

As our first Growth Strategist & Program Owner, you’ll help design, test, and scale signal-based GTM programs from the ground up. You’ll work directly with our Director of Strategic Growth Experiments to turn market insights into action — and action into meetings, pipeline, and repeatable playbooks.

This role is part operator, part growth hacker, and part strategist. If you were a top SDR or GTM player who’s ready to move upstream, build fast, and help scale a new kind of growth motion — we want to talk.

What You'll Do

Signal to Strategy:

  • Translate real-world signals (e.g., tech migrations, funding, GenAI adoption, leadership changes) into GTM programs.
  • Own research, enrichment, and outreach planning using tools like Clay, 6Sense, CommonRoom, Keyplay, and more.

Outbound Experimentation:

  • Write and test outbound messaging across personas, industries, and triggers.
  • Run 1–2 outbound experiments per month, from idea → execution → insight → playbook.

Program Ownership:

  • Build and manage outbound kits, messaging blocks, and partner with SDR enablement.
  • Partner with Regional Marketing, PMM, SDRs, and Digital to activate plays across channels.

Learn, Iterate, Scale:

  • Track what’s working (and what’s not) through reply rates, meetings booked, and early pipeline.
  • Package learnings into repeatable formats: docs, videos, and/or dashboards.

What We’re Looking For

You are...

  • A top-performing ex-SDR or growth-minded marketer – you know what real pipeline takes and want to scale it.
  • A builder with strong instincts – you don’t wait for the perfect brief, you figure it out.
  • A sharp communicator – your writing is crisp, compelling, and customer-first.
  • Fast, curious, and coachable – you thrive in ambiguity and want to grow into a leadership role.
  • Obsessed with GTM – you read up on market shifts, signals, triggers, and tools.

Bonus Points If You...

  • Have built outbound sequences using Outreach, Clay, OctaveHQ.
  • Know your way around ABM or multi-channel campaign design.
  • Have partnered closely with SDRs or led messaging for outbound before.
  • Have strong opinions on what makes good vs. bad messaging.

What Success Looks Like

  • 3+ tested GTM experiments launched within your first 90 days.
  • Outbound messaging that drives real replies and meetings.
  • Trusted by SDRs and marketing partners for what “works.”
  • Systems and workflows that scale beyond you.

What You’ll Grow Into

  • Growth Strategy Manager.
  • Vertical or region pod leader (e.g., FinTech, SaaS, HealthTech).
  • Builder of a repeatable GTM experimentation engine.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • You’ll work directly with a strategic growth leader (that’s me) who’s here to coach, challenge, and grow with you.
  • You’ll learn more about GTM, experimentation, and signals in 6 months than most people do in 2 years.

You’ll be part of redefining how one of the most important identity platforms grows.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
