Opus1.io is looking for a GTM Operations Specialist to join our rock ‘n roll team.  Opus1.io is a trailblazing SaaS CRM startup tailored for music and performing arts schools and we’re on a mission to revolutionize the way arts education businesses interact with their clients.  Our platform is designed to streamline operations, foster growth, and elevate the customer experience for performing arts education providers worldwide!  Having recently secured a $5M Series A, we’re poised for rapid expansion and are looking to enhance our team by onboarding a GTM Operations Specialist.

In this dual-role position, you’ll serve as the go-to expert for payment operations, merchant onboarding, and portfolio profitability — while also taking the reins on HubSpot administration and RevOps strategy. Internally, you’ll manage payments data, HubSpot workflows, and dashboards that drive smarter business decisions. Externally, you’ll provide outstanding support to customers going through onboarding, rate inquiries, or payment issues — making sure every client touchpoint is smooth, responsive, and value-driven.

Key Responsibilities
🔧 Revenue Operations & HubSpot Administration (RevOps)
- Own and manage the HubSpot CRM — build and optimize workflows, pipelines, sequences, and custom reports
- Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to streamline revenue-driving processes and lead routing
- Monitor lead-to-customer funnel performance and identify bottlenecks, gaps, or opportunities for automation
- Create and maintain dashboards that provide cross-functional visibility into customer lifecycle and revenue KPIs
- Ensure data cleanliness and consistency across systems and support integrations between HubSpot and other tools (e.g., Stripe, SaaS metrics, ticketing systems)
- Serve as a strategic partner to leadership in forecasting, pipeline management, and revenue modeling

🏦 Payment Operations & Merchant Services (PayOps)
- Act as the primary liaison for merchant onboarding, guiding customers through application and underwriting processes
- Manage and analyze payment processing rates across the customer portfolio, ensuring optimal pricing and retention
- Troubleshoot payment issues, working cross-functionally with payment facilitators, internal teams, and clients
- Conduct rate reviews, identify below-standard rates, and implement profitability enhancements
- Review and reconcile monthly revenue-share reports from payment partners to ensure data integrity and compliance
- Maintain documentation of payment operations and merchant rate changes for internal transparency and audit-readiness
- Deliver client-facing education and support around payment systems, fees, and rate structures

🤝 Collaboration & Customer-Facing Excellence
- Provide high-touch service to clients, ensuring smooth onboarding and responsive support across payments and CRM-related inquiries
- Communicate complex payment or CRM concepts in a clear, client-friendly way
- Collaborate across Customer Success, Sales, Finance, and Product to ensure a unified customer experience
- Continuously gather feedback from internal teams and clients to inform improvements in systems, operations, and support

Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree, preferably with a concentration in finance, accounting, economics, business, or related field
- 3+ years of experience in payment operations, merchant services, financial operations, RevOps, or similar hybrid roles
- Proven experience administering and optimizing HubSpot (or equivalent CRM) — HubSpot certification a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, or equivalent app; SQL Database experience a plus
- Detail-oriented, self-starting, and comfortable owning multiple high-impact workflows
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills, with the ability to navigate conversations about rate adjustments effectively

We’re a fast-moving team of musicians, technologists, and educators building tools that empower performing arts schools to thrive. If you love operations, tech, and helping creative businesses grow — this is your jam.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
