Role: Head of AI Enablement & Transformation
Company: Vulcury Consulting
Location: Flexible (remote with periodic collaboration)
Compensation: Base + revenue share + equity participation tied to practice performance

About Vulcury Consulting

Vulcury Consulting is the advisory and execution arm of Vulcury, a venture studio and consulting platform that builds and scales sophisticated businesses. Our consulting practice supports both external clients and internally incubated ventures across strategy, technology, operations, and growth.

Unlike traditional consultancies that focus on slide decks and recommendations, Vulcury is structured to design and implement real systems that drive measurable business outcomes.

One of the most significant opportunities today is AI transformation—the replacement or augmentation of legacy software and manual workflows through agentic systems, intelligent automation, and modern AI infrastructure. Vulcury is building a dedicated practice focused on delivering these capabilities to clients.

The Opportunity

Vulcury is seeking a Head of AI Enablement & Transformation to build and lead our AI implementation practice.

This role is effectively the leader of a technology implementation consultancy focused on deploying AI solutions. The practice will design and implement systems such as:

  • Agentic AI workflows that automate knowledge work

  • AI copilots that augment existing teams

  • AI-native tools replacing legacy SaaS platforms

  • AI-powered operational automation across departments

In many cases, Vulcury will be building custom AI systems for clients, integrating LLMs, orchestration layers, APIs, and internal data systems.

The person in this role will lead both client development and delivery, building a profitable consulting vertical while leveraging Vulcury’s infrastructure, talent network, and venture studio ecosystem.

The role is designed for someone a few years out of an MBA or strategy/technology consulting career who recognizes that the traditional partnership track at large firms can take a decade. Instead, this person is excited to build a practice now, operating with significant autonomy and sharing directly in the upside created.

While candidates may eventually have built their own AI consultancy, the ideal person prefers to accelerate that journey within Vulcury’s platform, gaining access to delivery infrastructure, technical collaborators, and an existing client ecosystem.

What You’ll Do
Build and Lead the AI Transformation Practice
  • Establish and lead Vulcury’s AI enablement and transformation practice.

  • Define service offerings around:

    • Agentic workflow design and deployment

    • AI automation of operational processes

    • Replacement of legacy SaaS tools with AI-native systems

    • AI copilots for internal teams

    • AI infrastructure integration with existing data systems

  • Develop repeatable frameworks for assessing AI opportunities inside client organizations.

Client Development
  • Bring an initial client network or book of business where possible.

  • Develop new client relationships through thought leadership, partnerships, and targeted outreach.

  • Identify AI transformation opportunities within Vulcury’s consulting and venture studio ecosystem.

Solution Design & Delivery
  • Lead the design of AI-enabled workflows and systems for client organizations.

  • Coordinate with Vulcury engineers, analysts, and technical specialists to build solutions.

  • Oversee deployment, testing, and iteration of AI systems within client environments.

Practice Economics
  • Own the P&L of the AI transformation practice.

  • Develop scalable delivery models combining advisory, engineering, and implementation.

  • Recruit and mentor technical consultants and AI specialists as the practice grows.

Advisory Strength in Agentic AI

The AI enablement practice will be supported by advisory input from a senior leader in agentic AI at a global financial institution, providing strategic perspective on emerging architectures and enterprise adoption patterns.

This relationship ensures the practice remains aligned with cutting-edge developments in AI-driven operational transformation.

What Makes This Different

This is not a traditional consulting job.

You will be:

  • Building and owning a new consulting practice

  • Delivering real AI systems rather than theoretical transformation plans

  • Leveraging Vulcury’s infrastructure rather than building from scratch

  • Participating directly in the upside you create

Instead of spending a decade navigating a consulting partnership track, this role offers the opportunity to build a high-value AI consulting franchise immediately.

Compensation Structure

Compensation is structured to reflect the entrepreneurial nature of the role.

Components may include:

  • Competitive base salary

  • Revenue share from AI consulting engagements

  • Equity or profit participation tied to practice performance

  • Participation in broader Vulcury upside depending on long-term role

Top performers in this role should expect compensation closely aligned with the value they create for clients and the practice.

RequirementsIdeal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a builder who understands both consulting and modern AI capabilities.

Typical background may include:

  • MBA from a leading program

  • 3–7 years experience in one or more of:

    • Strategy consulting

    • Technology consulting or digital transformation

    • AI implementation within a startup or enterprise

    • Building or deploying AI tools internally

  • Familiarity with modern AI architecture including:

    • LLM-based systems

    • agentic workflows

    • automation platforms

    • API integrations

  • Experience working with executive stakeholders on technology initiatives

  • Demonstrated ability to originate business or manage client relationships

The ideal candidate likely:

  • Has begun building client relationships or advisory engagements

  • Recognizes the limits of large consulting firms

  • Is motivated by ownership and autonomy

  • Wants to build a practice with real economic participation

BenefitsWhy Join Vulcury

Vulcury is designed as a platform for builders.

You will have access to:

  • A venture studio launching new technology businesses

  • Existing consulting infrastructure and delivery teams

  • A network of engineers, analysts, and operators

  • Opportunities to design and deploy cutting-edge AI systems

For the right person, this role is an opportunity to build a modern AI implementation consultancy with meaningful ownership and long-term upside.

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation.
