This role is designed for a leader who is equally comfortable in the details of a 10-year financial plan and at the negotiating table for complex M&A. This role will be responsible for GFiber’s long-term planning, debt financing and M&A activity, and will be supported by a team of associates.

This role will work closely with the Company’s senior leadership and focus on the execution and management of our multi-year strategic roadmap, ensuring our aggressive expansion is supported by a sophisticated capital structure and a robust pipeline of opportunities.

  • M&A Execution & Pipeline: Lead all aspects of the M&A process, including proactive deal sourcing, valuation, due diligence, and contract negotiation. This role will be responsible for building and maintaining a proprietary pipeline of targets within the FTTH space.
  • Long-Term Strategic Planning: Own the enterprise-level 10-year financial model. This role will drive the annual refresh process, integrating inputs from across the Company to provide a clear picture of GFiber’s long-term strategy, financial health and capital needs.
  • Board-Level Deliverables: Create comprehensive investment memos, monthly M&A updates, debt briefings and strategic planning decks for Board of Director meetings.

At a minimum we'd like you to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in Investment Banking or Corporate Development, with a track record of executing complex transactions.
  • 5 years of experience in Telecommunications or Digital Infrastructure (Fiber, Towers, Data Centers).
  • Technical knowledge of debt markets, including experience managing corporate credit facilities and navigating complex financing documents.
  • Experience with long-range financial modeling and business forecasting with the ability to supervise the creation of high-stakes models.

It's preferred if you have:

  • MBA degree or CFA certification.
  • Ability to influence senior leadership and reconcile competing priorities to maximize organizational impact.
  • Experience in leading and managing program portfolios across broader organizations or Product Areas.
  • Technical judgment and understanding, with experience influencing architectural and structural decisions.
  • Experience in identifying systemic issues and translating them into actionable, long-term transformational initiatives.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $203,200 - $279,800 + bonus + cash award + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
