About the Company

Hi, we're Ondo Finance. Our mission is to provide institutional-grade, blockchain-enabled investment products and services. We have both a technology arm that develops decentralized finance technology, and an asset management arm that creates and manages tokenized funds. We were the first company to tokenize exposure to US Treasuries and have since expanded into several other assets. We are also focused on incubating protocols that can support both tokenized real-world assets and traditional crypto.

Founded by folks from Goldman Sachs’s Digital Assets Team, we’re backed by some of the best investors in the world including Founders Fund, Coinbase Ventures, Pantera Capital, Tiger Global, and more. We are currently the leaders in the space in terms of AUM and are well capitalized to continue to grow the firm. We're fully remote with team members across the US.

About the role

The VP of Corporate Development is responsible for advancing this mission through strategic investments and acquisitions across the blockchain, finance, and technology sectors. We are looking to bring on an impactful leader who can execute on this global mandate and grow the Corporate Development team over time.

Responsibilities

Opportunity Assessment

•Partner with the Founder & Chief Strategy Officer to identify and execute on key opportunities to accelerate Ondo’s business growth through strategic partnerships, investments, and acquisitions.
•Lead financial, operational, legal, and regulatory diligence of the competitive landscape and of potential target companies to form unique perspectives on gaps and opportunities across the evolving crypto, tokenization, and financial services industries.
•Build a robust network of partners across both blockchain and traditional finance, including entrepreneurs, financial institutions, investors, and advisors to develop high-impact initiatives that advance Ondo’s long-term vision.

Sourcing & Execution

•Lead end-to-end execution of complex transactions (e.g. joint ventures, investments, M&A), including sourcing, diligence, structuring, negotiation, closing and integration processes.
•Own and manage relationships with investors and advisors (e.g. bankers, counsel, consultants) to drive value creation and alignment with Ondo’s strategy and business needs.
•Collaborate cross-functionally with key stakeholders internally and externally across partners, targets, and portfolio companies to maximize financial, operational, and regulatory synergies.

Requirements

•10+ years of relevant professional experience, including 3+ years across corporate development, M&A investment banking, and VC/PE investing.
•3+ years of corporate deal experience structuring deals with both equity and token components across complex transaction types (partnerships, joint ventures, M&A) in the digital assets space.
•Extensive client-facing experience interfacing directly with executives and investors, leading cross-functional teams, and managing external advisors (bankers, counsel, etc.).
•Deep understanding of the blockchain and crypto industries overall, especially RWA tokenization.
•Bachelor’s degree required with an Economics, Finance, Business or related discipline preferred. Masters of Business Administration (MBA) or related advanced degrees are a plus.

What we offer

•Competitive compensation including salary, future token rights, and/or equity (according to your preferences) — we're well-funded and believe that great talent deserves great compensation
•Full benefits (medical, vision, and dental) and flexible vacation policy (PTO)
•Small remote-first team across many countries — you'll be an early team member helping shape our vision, culture, and design practices
•A+ colleagues — our team includes alumni from: Goldman Sachs, Blackrock, Two Sigma, Bridgewater, SpaceX, AWS, Meta, Google, McKinsey, Circle, Uniswap
•Best-in-class investors — we are proud to be backed by leading crypto experts and VCs, including Pantera Capital, Founders Fund and Coinbase Ventures
