Why Socure?

Socure is building the identity trust infrastructure for the digital economy — verifying 100% of good identities in real time and stopping fraud before it starts. The mission is big, the problems are complex, and the impact is felt by businesses, governments, and millions of people every day.

We hire people who want that level of responsibility. People who move fast, think critically, act like owners, and care deeply about solving customer problems with precision. If you want predictability or narrow scope, this won’t be your place. If you want to help build the future of identity with a team that holds a high bar for itself — keep reading.

About the Role

Socure is building the future of trust for digital ecosystems. To accelerate our mission, we are expanding the platform to include agentic workflows and internal productivity tools that power innovation across the company. These systems will underpin how Socure builds, deploys, and scales AI-driven identity solutions while enabling internal teams to operate with speed, intelligence, and precision.

We are seeking a Head of Engineering for Agentic Workflows & Internal Tools to define the strategy, architecture, and execution of this critical domain. Reporting directly to the Chief Technology Officer, this leader will be responsible for building scalable workflow orchestration systems, creating AI-native internal tools, and embedding automation into the fabric of Socure’s operations.

This role is central to Socure’s transformation into an AI-native company—reimagining how every department works, from product engineering to sales and marketing, to HR, recruiting, finance, and accounting. By delivering intelligent automation and agentic workflows, this leader will unlock step-function gains in efficiency, accuracy, and decision-making, driving operational excellence across the entire enterprise.

What You Get
  • Set Technical Vision: Define and own the long-term strategy for agentic workflows and internal tools, positioning Socure as an AI-native enterprise.

  • Build & Scale Platforms: Architect and deliver workflow automation frameworks, orchestration engines, and internal tools that accelerate product development, data science, and business operations.

  • Enable AI Transformation: Drive the adoption of GenAI techniques across every department—GTM, Marketing, HR, Recruiting, Finance, Accounting, Legal, and beyond—to augment decision-making, streamline processes, and enhance productivity.

  • Cross-Org Enablement: Partner with leaders across the business to design tools and workflows that improve velocity, reduce manual effort, and enhance transparency in day-to-day operations.

  • Operational Excellence: Establish systems and practices that ensure internal processes are intelligent, auditable, and continuously optimized for speed and accuracy.

  • Hands-On Innovation: Leverage LLMs, multi-agent frameworks, and orchestration platforms to create differentiated internal solutions that can’t be bought off the shelf.

  • Executive Collaboration: Work closely with the CTO and executive team to align automation investments with strategic priorities, ensuring measurable ROI across departments.

  • Innovation & Standards: Stay ahead of emerging AI technologies and regulatory frameworks to ensure Socure leads the industry in secure, compliant, and intelligent internal systems.

What You Bring
  • 10+ years of software engineering experience, including significant leadership roles overseeing multiple teams or departments.

  • Proven success building and scaling workflow systems, orchestration frameworks, or internal developer/business platforms.

  • Strong technical background in distributed systems, cloud-native architecture, and AI/GenAI applications.

  • Experience enabling cross-functional operational efficiency across both technical and business teams.

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver complex, enterprise-grade systems that improve internal operations at scale.

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
