We are seeking a seasoned, results-driven Industry Sales Lead to join the Yahoo Ads team. As Head of Industry, Entertainment & Media, you will manage a team of Sales Directors to drive revenue growth for the Entertainment & Media verticals across both performance and brand solutions, and serve as a category thought leader in the market. 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a high-performing sales team focused on delivering exceptional value to our clients across Entertainment & Media accounts.  

  • Define and execute a robust strategy to attract new advertisers in this category, driving adoption of Yahoo’s solutions and achieving revenue growth targets.

  • Foster a client-centric culture that encourages innovation, collaboration, and the pursuit of delivering outstanding experiences tailored to the unique needs of the industry.

  • Champion adoption of AI tools across the team to increase seller productivity, sharpen account planning, and improve forecast accuracy.

  • Build and nurture strategic relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers at brands and agencies, positioning yourself as a trusted advisor and partner.

  • Represent the Yahoo Ads brand through speaking engagements and client activations at key industry events in the US and globally. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams at Yahoo to inform an integrated go-to-market strategy for this category.

  • Lead an agile organization and identify industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging technologies that will accelerate adoption and drive growth.

  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and growth opportunities to foster talent development and retention.

  • Participate in strategic planning to drive the overall success of the Yahoo Ads Sales organization.

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding of client challenges and a passion for delivering innovative solutions that drive measurable business impact.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in enterprise sales, account management, or related roles, with at least 6 years managing sales teams.

  • Proven track record of leading and motivating high-performing sales teams, achieving ambitious revenue targets, and cultivating long-lasting strategic client relationships.

  • Demonstrated success hiring, coaching, and retaining high-performing sellers, including managing performance and building bench strength.

  • Exceptional business acumen, with a deep understanding of digital advertising trends and the competitive landscape.

  • Demonstrated use of AI tools in their own sales workflow, with a clear point of view on where AI creates leverage for a sales organization (account research, pipeline hygiene, call prep, pitch development) and where human judgment still has to own the outcome.

  • Strong strategic thinking and execution capabilities, with the ability to develop and implement effective go-to-market strategies within a market segment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, build strong relationships with C-level executives, and influence key decision-makers.

  • Executive presence and credibility with CMOs and agency leadership, with comfort representing Yahoo externally at industry events.

  • Proficiency in sales methodologies, negotiation techniques, and consultative selling approaches.

  • Established relationships with brands and agencies in the Entertainment & Media category.

The compensation for this position ranges from $255,135.00 - $554,990.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience.The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
