About the Role

Ravenna is looking for a Founding Product Marketing Lead to own how we bring our product to market.

This role sits at the intersection of product, sales, and marketing. You will be responsible for defining how Ravenna is positioned, how we communicate our value, and how we launch and grow our product over time.

You will work closely with the founders and go to market team to shape our marketing strategy. You will turn product capabilities into clear, compelling narratives and ensure that everything we ship is understood and adopted by the market.

This is a high ownership role. You will define positioning, lead product launches, support sales, and help build Ravenna’s brand. You will also operate as a builder, writing content, developing messaging, and executing campaigns directly.

Ravenna is building an AI native service desk in a category dominated by legacy systems. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys translating complex products into simple, powerful stories and wants to shape how a company defines a new category.

Responsibilities
Own product positioning and messaging

Define how Ravenna is described in the market. Develop clear positioning, messaging, and narratives that resonate with buyers across IT, Security, HR, and Operations teams.

Lead product launches

Own go to market strategy for new features and major product updates. Ensure launches are well coordinated across product, sales, and marketing and drive real adoption.

Build sales enablement

Create materials that help the sales team win. This includes pitch decks, one pagers, competitive positioning, and clear talk tracks that communicate Ravenna’s value.

Partner with product and engineering

Work closely with the product team to understand what we are building and translate technical capabilities into clear customer benefits.

Shape Ravenna’s brand

Help define how Ravenna shows up in the market. Develop content, messaging, and narratives that strengthen the company’s voice and positioning.

Develop customer and market insight

Build a deep understanding of our customers, their workflows, and how they evaluate solutions. Use this insight to improve messaging and guide product decisions.

Support demand generation

Work with growth and sales to ensure campaigns, content, and outbound efforts align with Ravenna’s positioning and resonate in real sales conversations.

Drive adoption and product understanding

Help customers understand how to use Ravenna effectively through content, documentation, and product education.

About You
Strong product marketing experience

You have experience owning product marketing for a technical product, ideally in B2B SaaS or enterprise software.

Strong writer and storyteller

You can take complex ideas and turn them into simple, compelling narratives. You care about clarity and precision in how products are described.

Technical curiosity

You are comfortable working with technical products and can understand how systems work. You do not need to be an engineer, but you can engage meaningfully with product and engineering teams.

Experience with enterprise buyers

You understand how to communicate with stakeholders in IT, Security, or Operations teams and can tailor messaging to different audiences.

Builder mindset

You are comfortable executing directly. You write content, build decks, and launch campaigns yourself. You do not rely on large teams or external agencies.

Strategic and execution oriented

You can think about long term positioning and strategy, but you are equally comfortable shipping work quickly and iterating based on feedback.

Strong cross functional collaborator

You work well with product, sales, and leadership. You can align teams around a clear narrative and ensure consistent messaging across the company.

Ownership and accountability

You take responsibility for how the product is understood in the market and continuously improve how Ravenna communicates its value.

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
