LastPass is looking for a Head of Web Development

The Head of Web Development at LastPass will lead the strategy, development, and execution of our end-to-end web properties and will be a key contributor to enabling our overall Commerce Strategy in a high velocity B2C & B2B marketing motion. Reporting to the CIO, this role is critical to delivering a seamless and scalable customer experience across the web(lastpass.com), blog.lastpass.com, etc. The ideal candidate will be a strong technical leader who is strategic in both technical decision-making and has deep business domain experience, relentless in execution, and passionate about building products and capabilities that foster a culture of experimentation and data-driven product development. You will build a team of leaders who contribute to the strategic vision of our digital properties.

You will be joining the Business Technology (BizTech) team at LastPass. The team’s mission is to enable business growth through digital transformation, operational excellence and outstanding experiences for our employees and customers. Who will you work with?

You will be working with a very cross-functional group of extremely talented and smart leaders from across BizTech, Marketing, Sales, HR, Engineering, Product and more. You will be peers with other functional leaders and helping influence and contribute towards our company strategies

What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?

  • Develop and implement a forward-thinking web technology strategy that supports LastPass’s growth goals and mission.
  • Build and scale website experimentation, A/B test strategies to drive data-driven improvements and optimizations that lead to better user experiences and increased conversions
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in SEO, responsiveness, performance, and accessibility, including CI/CD, monitoring, and incident response.
  • Drive platform transformations (e.g., headless commerce) and manage ongoing software development process improvements to optimize speed-to-market
  • Ensure adherence to global compliance and security standards safeguarding customer trust and data integrity.
  • Manage and grow a high-performing global team of product managers, engineers, and architects, fostering a culture of innovation, empowerment, and collaboration.
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously innovate and improve the organization’s technology landscape.

What does it take to work at LastPass?

  • Proven leadership in managing large-scale products and web properties for SaaS or consumer technology companies with high velocity B2C and B2B marketing motions
  • Leadership experience with web platforms and progressive experience in web development and technology leadership, preferably within a digital marketing or agency environment.
  • Driven, strategically focused, and organized with strong attention to detail. Able to influence at the senior level and deliver results through others. Defines strategic direction; gets team members and resources aligned and committed to deliver business results; champions team member excellence and values.
  • Strong technology and digital marketing management skills. Ability to apply data-driven capabilities and decision-making to drive business results. Ability to think innovatively and outside of the box.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and deliver technologies that enhance the customer experience across web, and digital channels, ensuring seamless integration and engagement
  • Ability to drive a forward-thinking, innovative culture by identifying emerging trends, experimenting with new technologies, and quickly adapting to changing business and customer needs
  • Proven expertise in web development technologies, frameworks, and development languages (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, React, Node.js, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure), microservices, and DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience working with digital asset management systems, CMS (SiteCore, Contentful, etc), translation tooling, experimentation frameworks and systems (Optimizely), CDN, Google analytics, etc

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.

US Pay Range
$200,000$240,000 USD
