About Flinks 🚀

Flinks drives and empowers financial innovation by pushing the limits of what's possible

As one of the trailblazers and advocates for open finance in Canada, Flinks has rapidly grown from its founding in 2016 to become a leader in financial data aggregation, data enrichment, and open banking.

Trusted by millions of individuals accessing financial services at world-class companies and serving innovators in lending, fintech, digital banking, asset management and insurance, Flinks is continually setting new benchmarks for the future of financial innovation. We’re dedicated to continuing to provide our clients with the tools they need to stay ahead of the competition and drive innovation forward. That’s where you come in.

About the Team

Our People team is small (for now!) — led by our Head of People, and you’ll be the second member to join. That means there’s real opportunity to help shape the way we support our teams as we grow.

You’ll have a big hand in building programs that fuel performance, development, and team connection — all within our self-managed, high-trust environment. We’re not just following a playbook — we’re building one that fits how Flinks works best. If you’re someone who enjoys ownership, loves helping others thrive, and is excited to co-create the future of People at Flinks, this role is for you.

  • Guide employees through internal mobility and progression.

People Ops Collaboration

  • Collaborate with the People team to support initiatives around onboarding, engagement, and retention
  • Support conflict resolution, career transitions, and feedback facilitation, especially in a self-managed team environment.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
