The HR Employee Success Partner plays a pivotal role in fostering a high-performing, engaged, and inclusive culture at BetterUp. This role focuses on supporting employee relations, performance management, and engagement survey execution—empowering managers and employees to thrive.
As a trusted partner to leaders and employees, you will handle sensitive employee relations matters, support the end-to-end performance enablement cycle, and act as the operational lead for our employee engagement listening strategy. You’ll work closely with HR Business Partners, L&D, and HR Ops to ensure that employees feel supported, challenged, and cared for.
What you’ll do:
Employee Relations & Workplace Culture
Serve as a first point of contact for employee relations matters, offering thoughtful and compliant guidance to managers and employees.
Conduct or support investigations and resolution of ER issues with fairness, discretion, and attention to detail.
Partner with legal, compliance, and HRBPs to uphold our values and policies while minimizing risk.
Performance Management & Manager Enablement
Support and scale our performance management framework, ensuring clear expectations, growth-oriented feedback, and action planning.
Partner with L&D to co-facilitate training sessions on performance enablement, feedback, and effective management.
Provide operational and analytical support during key talent processes (e.g., calibration, check-ins, development plans).
Engagement & Listening Strategy
Own execution of the company-wide engagement survey (e.g., Peakon), from launch to results analysis and action planning.
Analyze trends in engagement and retention, surfacing actionable insights to HRBPs and leaders.
Monitor key employee sentiment metrics and recommend interventions to support team and manager effectiveness.
Talent Program & Project Support
Contribute to strategic people programs (e.g., career planning, org design) with an employee success lens.
Leverage project management tools to support streamlined, cross-functional delivery of HR initiatives.
If you have some or all of the following, please apply:
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management, Psychology, Business, and/or related field
4-6 years of experience in an employee relations capacity working through complex situations and escalations, preferably in a product/tech or professional services organization
Experience conducting workplace investigations and managing HR compliance issues
Clear demonstration of strong judgment, coaching, influencing, and problem-solving
Self-driven, autonomous, and a team player
Strong problem-solving skills, ability to analyze data, understand trends, and develop recommendations for action based on the analysis
Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills
Highly resourceful and comfortable working with ambiguity
Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
Workday HRIS Experience a Plus +
SHRM/PHR or additional HR-related credentials/certifications a Plus +

At BetterUp, we compensate our employees fairly for their work. Base salary is determined by job-related experience, education/training, residence location, as well as market indicators. The range below is representative of base salary only and does not include equity, sales bonus plans (when applicable) and benefits. This range may be modified in the future.
The base salary range for this role is $94,000.00 - $162,000.00

$108,000.00 - $162,000.00: New York City
$94,000.00 - $140,000.00: Albany, Buffalo, Nassau, Newburgh, Rochester
