Responsibilities

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Business Development Executive to drive new revenue growth for our HR Solutions division. This individual will focus on bringing in net-new clients, expanding our footprint in the HCA and payroll services market, and positioning our team as a consultative partner to organizations seeking modern HR solutions. If you are energized by prospecting, uncovering business challenges, and delivering value-driven HR and payroll solutions this role is for you.

Essential Functions and Primary Duties

New Business Generation

  • Proactively identify, target, and generate new B2B opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals, events, and digital outreach. 
  • Drive high-volume prospecting activity to build a strong and sustainable pipeline. 
  • Position our HR Solutions team as a trusted partner capable of displacing legacy HCA providers.
  • Consultative Sales & Full-Cycle Management

Consultative Sales and Full-Cycle Management 

  • Lead the full sales cycle from initial outreach to close, including discovery, solution alignment, presentations, proposals, and contract negotiation. 
  • Conduct consultative needs analyses to understand organizational challenges related to HR, payroll, compliance, and workforce management. 
  • Collaborate with internal SMEs to tailor solutions and deliver compelling business cases to prospects.

Market Strategy & Insights

  • Maintain deep knowledge of HCM/payroll technology, HR consulting services, and competitor offerings. 
  • Track market trends and provide leadership with insights on prospect feedback, competitive shifts, and emerging opportunities. 
  • Document and analyze won/lost opportunities to refine strategy and forecasting.

Cross-Functional Collaboration
 

  • Work closely with implementation and client service teams to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new clients. 
  • Identify and support cross-sell opportunities across additional business units.

Pipeline & Activity Management
 

  • Manage all activities, opportunities, and communications through our CRM, ensuring accurate forecasting and reporting. 
  • Maintain disciplined follow-up and documentation to drive pipeline velocity and transparency.

Professional Development

  • Participate in annual goal setting, performance planning, and continuous skill development. 
    Maintain a strong presence at relevant industry conferences, events, and networking opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of successful outside B2B sales experience in HCM, payroll, HR consulting, PEO, or related SaaS/HR technology solutions. 
  • Proven ability to open doors, win net-new logos, and consistently achieve revenue targets. 
  • Experience selling into small to mid-market organizations (50–500 employees) preferred. 
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to articulate value, ROI, and strategic HR impact. 
  • Highly self-motivated, persistent, and comfortable with high-volume outreach. 
  • Existing network of HR, finance, or business leaders a plus. 
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent 
  • Some relevant industry experience
  • Must obtain required licenses/credentials
  • Superior command of verbal, written, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of the organization, both internally and externally
  • Must be able to travel based on client and business needs
