The illustrator will create storyboards and character illustrations for animation, ensuring visual consistency and employing digital tools to illustrate concepts effectively.
We are seeking skilled Illustrators specialized in illustration for animation, with a strong focus on storyboarding and character illustration. This role supports creative and AI training use cases that require clear visual storytelling, expressive characters, and animation-ready illustrations. The ideal candidate is comfortable translating concepts, scripts, or prompts into structured visual narratives and illustration assets that are designed to be animated.
Key responsibilities
- Create a wide range of illustrations, including: Storyboards to define sequences, pacing, and visual flow, character illustrations with clear expressions, poses, and consistency & supporting visual elements (props, environments, key frames) as needed
- Translate briefs, scripts, or references into clear visual storytelling.
- Maintain visual consistency across assets. Follow creative guidelines, style references, and client specifications.

Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong illustration skills with a focus on storyboarding and character design.
- Excellent design skills and understanding of modern style conventions and techniques.
- Solid understanding of: Visual storytelling and sequencing, composition, perspective, and framing & character anatomy, expression, and movement
- Proficiency with digital illustration tools (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Procreate, or similar).
- Ability to work from written briefs, references, or loose concepts.
- High attention to detail and consistency.
- Ability to balance creativity with structured requirements.
- Experience working with animation or motion design teams.
- Familiarity with animation pipelines and handoff requirements.
- Background in animation studios, motion branding, or digital storytelling.
- Experience contributing to AI training datasets or structured creative tasks.
- Portfolio showcasing storyboards and character-driven illustration work.
