Job Shift: Rotating

Job Type: Per Diem

Hours: 8 Hrs

Under the direction of the Director Imaging Services, and in conjunction with the Medical Director of Imaging Services and Support Supervisor. Imaging Aide shall be able to perform all aspects of imaging aide duties and will possess the necessary skills to perform the duties of the position.

Responsibilities

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Transport patients onto beds, gurneys and/or wheelchairs
  • Transport patients to departments via gurney, wheelchairs, and/or beds
  • Review Radiology orders for appropriateness
  • Coordinate procedures with Technologists and Radiologists
  • Answer phone
  • Documentation and Retrieval of information via Cerner Computer system
  • Communicate with Physicians, Nurses, and Patients
  • Maintain Gurneys and wheelchairs in clean conditions
  • Review crash carts on a daily basis
  • Obtain Images and/or perform copies of images for Subpoenas, Physicians, and Patients
  • Retrieve supplies, films, or other items from warehouse
  • Copy images on CD's for patient's exams and obtain Medical Releases
  • Knowledge in McKesson PACS, Compliance Checker, for Medicare patients, and EasylDAdv
  • Keep Reception area stocked and clean
  • Keep Patient Lobby clean
  • Notify Supervisor of supplies needed for front desk
Qualifications

1.    High School Graduate or equivalent.
2.    Must be familiar with medical terminology. 
3.    Clerical skills.
4.    Must be able to push, pull, or lift 75Ibs. minimum.
5.    Required to work various shifts, days and weekends.
6.    Customer service is a priority, excellent communication skills are essential.
