Who we areAbout Stripe

Stripe is a financial infrastructure platform for businesses. Millions of companies—from the world’s largest enterprises to the most ambitious startups—use Stripe to accept payments, grow their revenue, and accelerate new business opportunities. Our mission is to increase the GDP of the internet, and we have a staggering amount of work ahead. That means you have an unprecedented opportunity to put the global economy within everyone’s reach while doing the most important work of your career.

About the team

As an Implementation Consultant, you will be managing the full onboarding cycle for mid-market and enterprise companies from contract signing through launch. You will proactively develop and manage integration architecture, change management strategy, and timelines. You will be expected to collaborate across departments, including Sales, Technical Services, Product, and Engineering, to ensure a successful transition for our clients.

What you’ll do

  • You are adept at managing client relationships, capable of engaging in business-level and technical conversations at multiple levels of the organization, including CTO, COO, and CFO.
  • You have an in-depth understanding of the challenges users face while onboarding with Stripe and can lead a complex, multi-party integration in a highly consultative and proactive manner.
  • You have worked with cross-functional teams (e.g. Product, Engineering, Legal, Business Teams, etc) to craft custom solutions to achieve customer objectives.
  • You are used to project management, engaging stakeholders and holding cross-functional teams accountable to a timeline.
  • You want to actively decrease a user’s overall Stripe onboarding timeline and help Stripe understand the levers that influence this time-to-live metric.
  • You enjoy pattern recognition and solving thematic problems. You will create user-facing content for short-term solutions and also work with Sales, Product & Engineering on long-term solutions.
  • You enjoy building – you will help build an account deployment process that can be scaled across global sales teams at Stripe.
  • If you’re hungry, smart, persistent, and a great teammate, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities

  • Own the full implementation cycle from signed-to-live for mid-market and enterprise companies.
  • Be responsible for proactively developing and project managing a customer’s integration strategy, plan and timeline.
  • Lead and contribute to team projects to develop, improve, and scale our processes.
  • Engage with Product and Engineering teams to help drive product strategy.

Who you are

We’re looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. If you meet these requirements, you are encouraged to apply. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement.

Minimum requirements

  • 5+ years of experience working with customers, preferably at a technology company, with a track record of top performance.
  • Deep understanding of the Stripe API, and ability to explain complex API concepts to Stripe’s largest and most technical customers.
  • Ability to understand complex enterprise requirements and craft tailored solutions.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Strong critical thinking skills, including ability to identify suboptimal internal processes.
  • Ability to recognize repeated user-facing issues and build scalable solutions.
  • Superior communication skills in both verbal and written forms, with native-level proficiency in the Japanese language.
  • Ability to operate in a highly ambiguous and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interest in technology.

Preferred qualifications

  • Prior experience at a growth stage internet/software company.
  • Prior experience in the payments industry.
  • Prior experience working with large mid-market companies as well as enterprise organizations.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
