The Indie Account Executive will drive publisher partnerships for IGN, focusing on sales, relationship building, and attending industry events.
The Opportunity:
Join IGN Entertainment, the leading media brand for games, movies, TV, comics, and more! We’re seeking an entrepreneurial Indie Publisher Account Executive to drive the growth of IGN’s publisher partnerships. At this time, we are not accepting applicants residing in California. This is a commission only role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Field Sales: Spend the majority of your working week "in the field" meeting with indie game publishers across major industry hubs.
- Pipeline Management: Identify and prospect indie game publishers across PC, console, and mobile.
- Face-to-Face Pitching: Execute in-person pitches of IGN’s advertising, content, and partnership offerings to key decision-makers.
- Relationship Building: Attend industry mixers, developer communities, and publisher offices to build long-term revenue-generating partnerships.
- Deal Execution: Negotiate and close complex media deals.
- Travel: Attend major domestic and international gaming conventions (GDC, PAX, etc.) to conduct on-site sales activities.
Job Qualifications:
- Proven Field Success: Experience in a role that requires autonomous travel and off-site client acquisition.
- Indie Expertise: Deep understanding of the indie gaming ecosystem (publishers, developers, launch cycles).
- Entrepreneurial Mindset: Highly self-motivated and comfortable with a performance-driven structure.
- Communication: Elite storytelling and negotiation skills.
- Logistics: Must have the ability to travel frequently to meet with clients at their locations and have their own reliable mode of transportation for local travel.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Salary Range: 6% Commission net after campaign hard costs
- Expense Reimbursement: Pre-approved travel expenses and mileage expenses incurred in the field will be fully reimbursed.
