The Account Manager is responsible for driving new business growth within an assigned vertical market through proactive outreach, prospecting, relationship development, and consultative selling. This role is ideal for a resourceful, digitally savvy sales professional who is comfortable generating pipeline through outbound prospecting, social selling, and strategic customer engagement. Successful candidates will leverage tools such as Salesforce CRM and LinkedIn Sales Navigator to identify opportunities, manage outreach activity, and drive market growth within their assigned territory.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Expand Market Presence: Develop new business within the assigned vertical through proactive prospecting, outbound outreach, social selling, and strategic customer engagement. Identify and pursue new opportunities using a combination of cold calling, email outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, trade engagement, and digital networking to drive pipeline growth and increase LION’s market penetration.
  • Establish a Strong Presence: Build relationships with key decision-makers within your assigned vertical through consistent customer engagement, market education, and consultative conversations that position LION as a trusted fire safety training partner.
  • Consultative Sales Approach: Utilize solution-based selling techniques to uncover customer needs, identify growth opportunities, and position LION’s fire safety solutions to drive customer value and long-term business growth.
  • Sales Forecasting & Reporting: Maintain accurate pipeline activity, sales forecasting, and CRM documentation while sharing relevant market insights and business development trends to support strategic growth initiatives.
  • Continuous Learning & Tool Adoption: Stay current on emerging sales technologies, digital outreach strategies, and AI-driven tools to improve prospecting effectiveness, customer engagement, and overall sales productivity.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience with a strong track record in business development, outbound prospecting, consultative selling, and pipeline generation.
  • Proven experience using social selling, outbound outreach, and digital prospecting tools such as Salesforce CRM, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and other sales engagement platforms to generate and manage sales opportunities.
  • Strong digital proficiency with experience leveraging CRM systems, sales engagement tools, and technology-driven outreach strategies to improve prospecting efficiency and sales productivity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage decision-makers, conduct consultative sales conversations, and effectively communicate value propositions across multiple customer channels.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with key decision-makers while proactively developing new business opportunities within assigned vertical markets.
  • Experience selling high-value items preferred.

RELATIONSHIPS & CONTACTS:

  • Collaborate closely with Senior Sales Leadership, Marketing, and the broader sales team to align growth strategies, share market insights, and drive customer engagement initiatives.
  • Proactively engage with key decision-makers and influencers within the assigned vertical market to develop relationships, uncover opportunities, and support business growth.
