Overview:
This role supports our commercial sales team by handling day-to-day customer needs, responding to incoming leads, and helping grow business within existing accounts. It’s a mix of customer service, sales, and coordination with operations, and it plays an important role in keeping both our customers and our internal teams running smoothly.
What the role looks like day to day:
- Respond to inbound leads and turn them into new customers
- Generate sales through follow-up, referrals, and existing account interactions
- Stay on top of assigned accounts to help retain business and keep things running smoothly
- Work closely with operations to make sure accounts are set up correctly and can be serviced safely
- Help resolve service issues, billing questions, and general account needs
- Get ahead of potential problems before they turn into service disruptions
- Put together pricing and quotes as needed
- Keep everything organized and up to date in Salesforce
- Partner with Account Managers and operations to quickly fix issues when they come up
- Communicate with customers regularly by phone and email
- Flag larger opportunities for the outside sales team
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in customer service or inside sales (waste industry is a plus, not required)
- Comfortable working in Salesforce or another CRM
- Organized and able to stay on top of a lot of moving pieces
- Strong communicator who can work across teams and with customers
- Someone who can operate in a fast-paced environment and figure things out as they go
What success looks like:
- Leads are handled quickly and turned into new business
- Customers stay with us and issues are resolved before they escalate
- Pricing updates and account changes are handled on time
- Salesforce is kept clean and accurate
- Sales and operations can rely on this role to keep things moving
