The Insights Analyst, Senior Manager, Enterprise Data and Analytics will be a member of the “Expand” (Extreme Process Analytics and Data Governance) team and is responsible for developing the data visualizations and self-service analytics solutions in support of the global, enterprise data & analytics (EDNA) platform and Lighthouse reports.
As part of this team, this position will partner with stakeholders throughout the business to understand data rules, business logic, and reporting and analytics needs to develop dashboards and self-service analytics layers. It includes hands-on development with adherence to visualization and story-telling with data best practices.
This position is remote, reporting to the Senior Director of Analytics & Data Governance.
Specific Duties:
• Lead and facilitate requirements gathering sessions with business and technical stakeholders to distill data and reporting requirements.
• Design and develop analytical dashboards that provide actionable insights across a range of business functions.
• Incorporate visualization best practices to ensure the data is calling attention to the right information to provide insights and drive actions.
• Understand and anticipate the needs of business teams to determine the best approach to effectively meet those needs through data visualizations.
• Design and develop self-service semantic layers to enable ad-hoc analytics with key stakeholders across the business.
• Work closely with the data engineers and architects to ensure metrics include governed and certified definitions, providing key business rules to incorporate into the data layers.
• Partner with peer members of the Analytics team in support of developing the end-to-end analytics solution using a modern technical stack, e.g. Snowflake, DBT, Fivetran, Informatica, Tableau.
• Both lead others and work independently in the design and development of all aspects of BI and visualization, providing directional and technical guidance to team members for collective advancement of prioritized outcomes.
• Assist in roadmap and planning activities to size and scope the level of effort for data activities.
Qualifications:
• Highly self-motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
• 7+ years hands-on experience working with BI and dashboard development, with in-depth knowledge of data governance, visualization, and business intelligence functions.
• 5+ years of experience with more than 1 analytics/visualization tool, such as PowerBI, Tableau, Looker, Sigma Computing, or other BI reporting layers.
• Can be highly flexible in adapting to the needs of the team and organization.
• Experience is a plus in managing the ingestion and modeling of the following business application data sources: Salesforce, Oracle Suite (EBS, Fusion, HCM), and Jira.
• Comfort in working within an agile team, leveraging DevOps concepts and agile-enablement tools including Jira, Confluence, and Github.
• Working experience with DevOps best practices and version control policies and platforms, e.g. Git
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical ideas to both technical and business stakeholders, with demonstrated written and verbal presentation skills to present compelling recommendations.
