Job Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and Develop Training Materials : Create clear and engaging training content, including eLearning modules, job aids, and instructor-led materials, tailored to the needs of the audience
  • Draft Communications : Create clear and targeted communications that align with business objectives and address specific needs
  • Maintain Training Resources : Regularly update training materials to reflect changes in content
  • Continuous Learning & Improvement : Stay updated on instructional design trends and best practices, applying new techniques and tools as appropriate

  • Effective Communication Skills : Clear and effective communication is crucial for working with stakeholders, understanding learner needs, and delivering content in an engaging way
  • Problem-Solving : The ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions is important, especially when dealing with complex instructional challenges or adapting to changing requirements
  • Project Management : Managing timelines, resources, and tasks efficiently is key to delivering high-quality instructional materials on time. This includes organizing, prioritizing, and tracking progress
  • Adaptability & Flexibility : Comfortable with changing business needs, technology, and tools
  • Collaboration : Instructional designers frequently work with subject matter experts, and other stakeholders. Being able to collaborate effectively ensures that the final product meets everyone's needs and expectations
  • Attention to Detail: Demonstrates an effective ability to focus on the small yet critical elements of tasks, ensuring high accuracy and quality in their work
  • Time Management : Balancing multiple projects and deadlines requires strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively to ensure timely delivery
  • Critical Thinking : Evaluating information, questioning assumptions, and making reasoned judgments are important for designing effective and evidence-based instructional strategies

Skills, Experience and Requirements
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of experience in training, instructional design, or curriculum planning

Skills and Qualifications:
  • Adult Learning: Strong understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to effectively apply them in the design and delivery of practical, engaging training programs
  • Curriculum Development : Ability to design, develop, and organize comprehensive training materials and programs, ensuring they align with organizational goals and learner needs. This includes creating lesson plans, assessments, eLearning modules, and instructional guides
  • Technology Proficiency : Proficient in using various learning management systems (LMS), authoring tools (e.g., Articulate, Adobe Captivate), and multimedia resources to create interactive and engaging training content

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/Year

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
