This position is responsible for leading the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation of enterprise learning solutions that improve employee performance and support organizational goals. The Instructional Designer IV partners with business leaders, subject matter experts, operations teams, and training stakeholders to identify performance gaps and develop scalable learning strategies, curriculum, and performance support resources.

This role applies adult learning principles, instructional systems design methodologies, and learning technologies to create engaging instructor-led, virtual, eLearning, and blended learning experiences. In addition, the Instructional Designer IV leads Modivcare’s enterprise onboarding strategy and execution by delivering high-impact new hire learning experiences, partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, overseeing onboarding operations, monitoring learner progress, and continuously improving onboarding solutions to meet evolving business needs. The position provides consultation on learning strategy, learner experience, measurement, and continuous improvement initiatives while serving as a mentor and resource to instructional design team members

The Instructional Designer IV may support learning systems and reporting activities related to training delivery, deployment, and evaluation.

This role...

  • Conducts organizational, task, learner, and performance analyses to identify business needs, performance gaps, and learning opportunities, and presents recommendations to leadership and stakeholders.

  • Partners with business leaders, subject matter experts, operations teams, and stakeholders to design learning strategies and solutions aligned to operational and organizational objectives.

  • Collaborates with operational teams to evaluate workflow, identify performance gaps, and ensure learning solutions align with business operations and learner needs.

  • Designs and maintains instructional frameworks, storyboards, learning assets, and curriculum documentation to support evolving business processes, policies, and learner feedback.

  • Designs, develops, and deploys instructor-led, virtual, blended, and eLearning solutions including facilitation guides, learner materials, multimedia assets, assessments, and performance support tools.

  • Facilitate corporate new hire onboarding programs that accelerate employee readiness by delivering instructor-led and virtual training, fostering learner engagement, and creating an inclusive, supportive learning environment.

  • Lead end-to-end new hire onboarding initiatives by coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders, managing training logistics, monitoring learner progress, and continuously refining onboarding content based on participant feedback and business needs.

  • Evaluates learning effectiveness through surveys, assessments, operational metrics, learner feedback, and performance data to support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Designs and develops interactive, state-of-the-art training templates, modules, video, job aids and acknowledgements.

  • Provides consultation and support for virtual learning delivery platforms and enterprise learning technologies.

  • Supports learning technology administration and collaborates with LMS administrators to ensure effective deployment, tracking, and reporting of learning solutions.

  • Maintains instructional resources, curriculum documentation, and learning content repositories.

  • Follows appropriate training models such as ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement and Evaluate, Feedback, Summaries and Action Plans).

  • Provides consultation, guidance, and training related to enterprise learning technologies and learner enablement tools.

  • Monitors, tracks, reports on and analyzes survey data obtained from training programs.

  • Leads and recommends innovative learning strategies, technologies, and instructional approaches that improve learner engagement and business performance.

  • Evaluates emerging learning technologies, instructional methodologies, and learner experience trends to improve training effectiveness and scalability.

  • Analyzes and applies trends in learning technologies and instructional design, while developing learning objectives and structuring learning activities.

  • Provides mentorship, guidance, quality review, and thought leadership to instructional design and training team members.

  • Manage multiple high-priority projects and stakeholder relationships simultaneously.

  • Applies accessibility, usability, and inclusive design principles in learning solutions.

  • Recommends when non-training solutions may be more appropriate than formal training.

  • Establishes instructional design standards, governance, and best practices.

  • Participate in other projects or duties as assigned.

We are interested in speaking to individuals with the following...

  • Bachelor's Degree required.

  • Seven (7) or more years of progressive experience in instructional design, learning and development, talent development, or enterprise training environments.

  • Experience designing and developing instructor-led, virtual, blended, and eLearning solutions.

  • Experience with instructional design and learning technologies such as Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Creative Suite, Camtasia, LMS platforms (ideally Workday Learning), and virtual learning technologies required.

  • Experience evaluating learning effectiveness and supporting continuous improvement initiatives preferred.

  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.

  • Demonstrated initiative; and ability to follow instructions and complete assignments in a timely manner.

  • Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team.

  • Ability to effectively deal with ambiguity and frequent changes.

  • Demonstrated consulting, stakeholder management, facilitation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Ability to report, analyze data and draw conclusions regarding results.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook and PowerPoint.

  • Ability to read and write English fluently.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be able to work with and among various groups within the company to meet our goals.

  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional systems design methodologies.

  • Experience designing blended learning and virtual learning solutions.

  • Strong facilitation and presentation skills.

  • Experience managing complex instructional design projects with competing priorities.

  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and inclusive learning practices.

  • Ability to consult with leaders and stakeholders on business and performance needs.

  • Experience evaluating learning effectiveness and business impact.

  • Knowledge of LMS reporting functionality.

  • Demonstrated good judgment and decision-making ability, with strong attention to details.

  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills evidenced through established personal and professional relationships among diverse internal and external customers.

  • Ability to establish and maintain collaborative partnership alliances across broad range of professionals.

  • Maintain a high energy level and be comfortable performing multi-faceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities.

Salary: $80,400 - $105,000

This role is bonus eligible based on individual and company performance.
