The Instructional Designer will be responsible for editing and designing math curriculum products within the Kiddom platform as well as editing and designing additional supplemental resources including print, videos, kits, and games. The ideal candidate will know Illustrative Mathematics inside and out (grades 6-12) and be an innovator with AI technologies in education - you are the AI leader on your team. You will be responsible for ensuring that teacher and student-facing content are optimized for the Kiddom digital platform and ready to deliver impact in classrooms. You will report directly to the Head of Curriculum Experience.
You will...
- Manage authoring/editing digital content on the Kiddom platform, including doing the work, and overseeing contractors
- Develop and implement protocols for instructional/graphic design of curriculum-aligned lesson presentations
- Author/edit supplemental resources aligned to the existing curriculum
- Review content and provide Quality Assurance feedback to Kiddom’s growing contractor network
- Align math content to state and national standards and develop student-centered learning experiences to align with standards
- Use AI for all of the above and drive innovation in the curriculum experience across both content development and collaboration with engineering product teams
- Collaborate with managers and stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications
- Assist in organizing work based on team members expertise, experience, and workload
- Troubleshoot and problem-solve when situations demand new or revised processes
What we're looking for...
- 3+ years of K-12 math classroom teaching experience in grades 6-12
- 3+ years of instructional design experience - specializing in math and technology integration
- 1+ years being the most AI-forward person on your team
- Passionate about math education and transforming classrooms
- Experience with Illustrative Math (in development, training, or teaching)
- Creative problem solving, including leveraging AI tooling for content development and scripting
Salary range is dependent on geographic location, prior experience, seniority, and demonstrated role related ability during the interview process.
