  • Submit filings to state insurance departments, manage regulatory objections, and ensure timely resolution.
  • Collaborate with legal, and product teams to ensure the accuracy and clarity of policy language and filings.
  • Support implementation as needed, providing compliance guidance and ensuring consistency with filed and approved forms.
  • Maintain documentation of product manual and form language revisions to support audits and ensure compliance

What We Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in insurance, business, law, or a related field preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in insurance policy form drafting, compliance, or regulatory filings, particularly in commercial P&C lines.
  • Proficiency with SERFF, Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe, and GSuite.
  • Experience working in an Insurtech or regulatory compliance-focused role.
  • Familiarity with commercial insurance products and industry trends.
  • AINS, CPCU, or other insurance-related certifications.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO forms, proprietary forms, and state-specific regulatory requirements.
  • Strong writing, editing, and analytical skills with attention to detail. Ability to interpret and apply insurance laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions. Ability to effectively handle objections and negotiate approvals with regulators.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while ensuring compliance with regulatory timelines.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work independently and collaborate with colleagues within and across departments.

Unstoppable Qualities:

  • Enthusiastic team player with a focus on collaboration in a remote environment.
  • Self-starter, reliable, and adaptable to changes in a fast-paced environment.
  • Thrives in a deadline-driven environment, balancing multiple projects while ensuring regulatory accuracy.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
