Our client is a technology integrator that supports government customers with IT modernization, performance engineering, and cybersecurity. Its engineering teams collaborate on complex technical programs in a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and professional development.

What will you do

The Integrated Test Scheduler is a technical leader responsible for developing, integrating, and maintaining end-to-end schedules across all major DevSecOps tools, including Tricentis Tosca, qTest, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab, SonarQube, and more, while embedding these schedules into the Program Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for DCSA programs. This role is hands-on, bridging tool-level automation and orchestration with program-level schedule management, critical path analysis, and milestone tracking.

This position works closely with Senior Tricentis Test Leads, DevSecOps Program Managers, Release Managers, and Agile teams to ensure testing activities are properly sequenced, resourced, and measurable. The role is primarily remote, with periodic meetings in Quantico, VA or Annapolis, MD as required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Integrated Test Schedule Management

  • Build, update, and analyze Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) that reflect all DevSecOps activities, dependencies, and critical paths.
  • Track progress against schedules, plans, and milestones; identify and resolve schedule risks and bottlenecks.
  • Map contractual delivery dates and milestones directly to CI/CD pipeline stages for NBIS and NI2 applications.
  • Integrate test activities across functional, integration, regression, automated, performance, security, and user acceptance testing.
  • Track and optimize the automated flow of work through Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, and other orchestration tools.
  • Factor in automated security gate latency (SAST, DAST, container scanning) and remediation rates into schedule critical paths.
  • Monitor system capacity, tool dependencies, and development team throughput to predict and prevent bottlenecks in cloud environments.

Test Management Integration

  • Develop and maintain schedules for automated testing, code integration, security scanning, deployment, and release gates across all DevSecOps tools.
  • Integrate Tricentis platform scheduling (Tosca, qTest, EEG/DEX, NeoLoad, LiveCompare) with Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab, SonarQube, and other orchestration tools.
  • Map tool-level schedules to program-level IMS, ensuring traceability and alignment.
  • Serve as scheduling SME for Tricentis Tosca and qTest, coordinating test schedules, execution windows, and automation events.
  • Establish traceability between scheduled test activities and qTest releases, test cycles, and execution results.
  • Incorporate Tosca automation development, maintenance, and execution into the integrated schedule.
  • Identify scheduling conflicts, automation capacity constraints, environment dependencies, and test execution bottlenecks.

Release and Test Gate Management

  • Develop and maintain schedules for test entry/exit criteria, release gates, and production readiness milestones.
  • Track readiness for each test phase and release gate, providing advance notification of schedule risks and critical-path impacts.
  • Maintain a forward-looking test calendar covering releases, test cycles, automation execution, and major milestones.

Schedule Analysis & Reporting

  • Conduct critical path analysis, schedule risk assessments for DevSecOps activities.
  • Provide schedule-based insights for program reviews, milestone briefings, and executive reporting.
  • Analyze schedule performance and identify trends that could affect contractual or program milestones.
  • Maintain and analyze the critical path and near-critical path for testing and release activities.
  • Conduct schedule impact assessments for scope changes, resource changes, technical delays, environment outages, defects, or changes in release dates.
  • Identify schedule risks and develop mitigation and recovery options in coordination with technical and program leadership.
  • Support schedule risk assessments and, where applicable, quantitative schedule risk analysis.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize test sequencing, resource utilization, automation execution, and release timing.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Liaise among geographically distributed Senior Tricentis Test Leads, Tosca Automation Engineers, qTest Administrators, DevSecOps Engineers, Release Managers, and Agile teams.
  • Lead integrated test scheduling meetings, obtain schedule status, and facilitate dependency resolution.
  • Escalate schedule issues requiring program-level decisions.

Process and Continuous Improvement

  • Develop standardized processes for integrated test scheduling, status collection, schedule updates, and reporting.
  • Improve integration between Agile sprint planning and program-level IMS.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the relationship between qTest, Tosca, DevSecOps, and scheduling data.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business, Project Management, or related discipline.
  • 8+ years in software testing, test management, program scheduling, or systems integration.
  • 5+ years with Tricentis Tosca and/or qTest in enterprise test management and automation environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Tricentis Tosca, qTest, Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab, SonarQube, and other DevSecOps tools.
  • Experience developing and maintaining complex IMS in federal or regulated environments.
  • Advanced proficiency with scheduling software (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, etc.).
  • Experience in government, defense, federal, or highly regulated environments.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and coordinate across multiple teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Tricentis certifications (Tosca, qTest, EEG/DEX, NeoLoad, LiveCompare).
  • Experience with schedule quality assessments, Earned Value Management (EVM), DCMA-style schedule analysis, and schedule risk analysis.
  • PMP, PMI-SP, or equivalent certification.
  • Experience supporting large-scale federal IT modernization, enterprise systems, or mission-critical applications.

What you need to know about the Seattle Tech Scene

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
