Why We Exist and What We Do:

At Dr. Squatch (www.drsquatch.com), we’re raising the bar on men’s personal care with our line of natural, high-performance products. We’re on a high-growth, fast-moving ride, continually introducing new product categories, launching into retailers nationwide, and growing internationally. We have been recognized and certified by Great Place to Work® multiple times, and we achieved status as a certified B Corp in 2023. We are looking for passionate, talented people who want to join us in our mission to inspire and educate men to be happier and healthier!

About the Role:

We’re hiring an experienced Amazon operator for a contract leave coverage (October 2026 through mid-January 2027). This is a high-trust, high-impact contract role - you’ll be the senior execution arm of the Amazon US business through our most important quarter of the year.

You’ll partner closely with our Senior Manager, Marketplaces Strategy, who is stepping up to lead day-to-day ops and strategy during the leave. You’ll report to the Sr. Director, Marketplaces through October handover, then to our Chief Digital Officer for the remainder of the contract.

This is a contract temporary opportunity.

What You'll Do:

  • Help deliver Q4 (eight-figure revenue in 12 weeks) — the quarter that makes the year
  • Stay deep in the account daily — diagnose fast, unblock the team, surface growth the planning cycle missed
  • Lead discrete strategic workstreams as they come up — e.g. TikTok Shop product launch coordinated with Amazon.
  • Be the senior voice in cross-functional rooms during the overlap and the leave — confident judgment on paid, merch, ops, pricing trade-offs, account unblocks
  • Keep the function moving especially during key pivot points (e.g. October Prime Day and Turkey 12) so the team isn’t waiting on decisions

About You:

  • 6+ years owning or operating a meaningful Amazon US P&L (Director or senior Manager level) at a high-growth brand
  • Experience at a corporate or PE-backed company — you understand the real trade-offs between speed and process, growth and profitability, brand and performance
  • A track record of operating in the account, not just managing through it — comfortable in Seller Central, an ad SaaS, Brand Analytics, etc.
  • Strong commercial judgment under pressure — you’ve owned a Q4 number before
  • Crisp, executive-ready communication — you write tight Slack updates and you don’t bury asks
  • The temperament to step into someone else’s house and operate at pace quickly

Bonus Points:

  • Personal care, beauty, or CPG category experience
  • Experience launching adjacent channels (TikTok Shop, Walmart 1P & 3P etc.)
  • Paid media depth - you can partner with a PPC operator without micromanaging
  • Have worked through a leadership transition (parental leave, acquisition, restructure)

Home to tech titans like Microsoft and Amazon, Seattle punches far above its weight in innovation. But its surrounding mountains, sprinkled with world-famous hiking trails and climbing routes, make the city a destination for outdoorsy types as well. Established as a logging town before shifting to shipbuilding and logistics, the Emerald City is now known for its contributions to aerospace, software, biotech and cloud computing. And its status as a thriving tech ecosystem is attracting out-of-town companies looking to establish new tech and engineering hubs.

Key Facts About Seattle Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 287,000; 13% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, cloud computing, software, biotechnology, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $3.1 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Madrona, Fuse, Tola, Maveron
  • Research Centers and Universities: University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Pacific University, Allen Institute for Brain Science, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, Seattle Children’s Research Institute
